Transfer Targets??
Re: Transfer Targets??
I see Will Davies is back in the fold at Braintree and scored both of their goals in a 2-0 win at Hemel Hempstead tonight.

Sounding like the next transfer target is a second physio

I really hope we can nail down Cropper ASAP. If he’s without a club & he’s already training with us then this surely has to be in the pipeline.

Maybe one has to go 1st
Re: Transfer Targets??
Will Davies signs for big-spending York City for an undisclosed fee. Be interested to know if he ever was on the verge of joining us, as was rumoured.
Re: Transfer Targets??
Dean has said after many games how we have to start converting the great chances the team are making, but even to this day this is still happening ( Chesterfield game ), surprised we didn't go after a player who has scored goals for fun even at lower league, would be nice to know how much York paid for his services, and little surprised the player he brought in to aid us in this Hooper, who
We are not sure when he might be ready to actually start for us.

Re: Transfer Targets??
Hooper may no longer be the player he once was but his presence on the bench has allowed us to sub (rest) both Kabamba twice and Stead with 1/4 hour remaining, he has fitted into the team and he's scored 2 goals, 1 of which rescued a late point for us.Roy57 wrote: ↑15 Nov 2023, 18:53 Dean has said after many games how we have to start converting the great chances the team are making, but even to this day this is still happening ( Chesterfield game ), surprised we didn't go after a player who has scored goals for fun even at lower league, would be nice to know how much York paid for his services, and little surprised the player he brought in to aid us in this Hooper, who

Davies is an unknown quantity at this level, let's wait and see how he gets on for York before we bemoan his not signing for us. Even then, he could have been another Harry Smith.

Re: Transfer Targets??
The last time we brought in direct competition for Kabamba he lost his form and his place to Smith. He is in fine goalscoring form so I don't see that signing a direct competitor for him is needed.
Feels more like a stick to beat DB with.

Re: Transfer Targets??
I hear that Eric Dier is on his way out at Spurs! Anyone think he is good enough to break into our team?
Re: Transfer Targets??
I see Dominic Gape has been released by Sutton... could be worth a punt on a short term contract until the end of the season with pritch & gormo being injured? Possibly option to extend if he does well, dont know too much about him but started at saints as a boy then moved onto Wycombe where he got promoted to league one and championship with them before leaving to go to Sutton where it must not have worked out. Any othwr news of any players we are linked with?
Re: Transfer Targets??
Apparently a few weeks ago we had a bid for Jamie Jellis turned down by Tamworth.

Probably nothing in it but I saw this earlier.

Re: Transfer Targets??
It’d be encouraging if we were out there trying to land targets as part of a real push to take the opportunity we’ve given ourselves and win promotion. Bromley have been buying players, while last season’s top 3 all signed players, especially strikers, at this stage to help see them home. If you can do it, you should.
