Nope, that’s the same flare. They turn orange after they flare blue.

Someone posted a link on the Daily Mail website... one of the videos shows a flare thrown from Barnet side

That's what i thought - the footage shows a flare come from the right hand side (bees) and not behind the goal

The flare came from Wealdstone, various videos prove this conclusively and the Daily Mail have incorrectly blamed Barnet fans based off one image.

An image that has been edited so that the arc of the flare appears to come from Legends and stopped before the smoke turns blue. If watched with the fuller length versions you can see how it was done.

Hilariously pathetic that somebody has gone to that effort when multiple bits of evidence (not least the eyes of anyone who was at the game) prove otherwise. Concerning that a national newspaper has picked this up as verbatim and run with it though. Happy to see our club issuing a comment to that rag unequivocally placing the blame at the feet of the Stones, though - would have been easy for BFC to issue a mealy-mouthed copy and paste “we condemn any disorder from both sets of fans” type statement.pgbee wrote: ↑05 Feb 2024, 08:09Having watched again,EastBarnetFan wrote: ↑05 Feb 2024, 00:47 The flare came from Wealdstone, various videos prove this conclusively and the Daily Mail have incorrectly blamed Barnet fans based off one image.

This video (taken from, of all places - the Wealdstone fc forum!) shows this clearly. 1 minute 20 into the video, keep an eye on the ref. Smoke flare thrown from the away end, burns blue after hitting the referee and dropping to the turf.

A Twitter feed called stones goal live showed the goal and post goal antics. Clearly shows flare coming from Wealdstone end burning orange hitting the ref then giving off blue smoke when hitting the ground. He then edits video to show just the flare hitting ref burning orange. Trying to blame Barnet fan behind a grassy knoll. Unfortunately he’s left original video up which clearly shows otherwise. Not the brightest but the Daily Mail lazily went for it.

As if fighting a steward in glasses 40 years older than yourself isn’t pathetic enough. Some their fans then edit videos to make it look like Barnet threw the flare instead of themselves. You threw the flares; own it. Weirdo behaviour. Weasels

Have they really edited videos? Do they have the skills to do that? I cannot fathom that someone would go to the trouble to do that. Is it not just a question of angles?

Pretty easy stuff. They’ve cropped half the video footage out so it looks like it’s an amber flare where as if you see the full footage you can see it turns blue. I’m sure we won’t get any charges from the NL for what happened.
Formally WillesdenBee but upgraded in the world!
