I don't think much of Pritchard and his potential betting ban but I really couldn't bear the idea of supporting a player who engaged in hare coursing.

Agreed, if the betting is not an addiction and they aren't betting on their own results, I don't really see who the victim is. You have to be a special sort of inbred bumpkin barbarian to want to engage in hare coursing.

I may be in the minority but from where I'm sitting Pritch has given his all on the pitch in the black and amber and is now playing to last seasons levels after a rocky season start.

He has made a mistake and will pay a heavy price personally. Not for me to judge or vilify

Good post.
Personally I think he's been an idiot when he surely knew the risks he was taking - but then, I've never had the remotest interest in betting so I can't see the temptation.
I think many of us have done things during our lives that others maybe could negatively have judged us for. The difference is often whether we get caught / found out. Pritch was found out, maybe others never are.
The FA will ultimately decide the level of punishment. Hopefully if he has a gambling problem he will be directed towards and embrace help, if only for the sake of him and his young family.

Just seen Peterborough goal keeping coach has been accused of 1,144 bets between August 2018
And October 2023, he has received a suspended ban and £250 fine. So going on this and that Pritch has been accused of just 150 bets over similar time frame, hopefully any ban will be suspended,

I wonder if his winnings on the 150 bets exceeded £1000?

That is surprisingly and amazingly lenient.

its easy to judge without all the evidence in the case so the panel must have taken this into their decision making process.
