if we make top 3 by 1 point I would disagree!
Gary Hooper
Re: Gary Hooper
A player like Stead could learn a lot from playing with Hooper. Whenever I watched him the legs aren't there but his positioning and passing showed why he was bought in.

Just been announced that he will play in a charity match. Does that mean he isn’t injured?

Re: Gary Hooper
7 weeks away plus being fit enough to play a charity game is totally different to being fit for a competitive gamebfc_mo wrote: ↑09 Apr 2024, 14:03 https://www.instagram.com/p/C5itxWjN_1e ... Jib2FtOW91

Re: Gary Hooper
I think we can safely assume regardless that he won't be here next season if he's signing up for stuff like thatbfc_mo wrote: ↑09 Apr 2024, 14:03 https://www.instagram.com/p/C5itxWjN_1e ... Jib2FtOW91

Re: Gary Hooper
Total "Waist" of Budget LOL - The couple of times I saw him no doubt about his very sharp footballing brain, was making runs that our midfield didn't see most of the time, fitness was always going to be the key. Shame we got to him two years too late.
Re: Gary Hooper
He's still with us as far as i know and his experience could help in the play offs either off or on the pitch. Maybe he will pop up with the winner at Wembley ........!
(very slight maybe).

Re: Gary Hooper
I wonder how much the likes of Stead, Kabamba, Granville, Hartigan, Gorman, Pritch value having experienced players like Hooper and Freeman in the set up, it's not all about what we see as contributions on the pitch, invaluable off it, never stop learning as a player if you want to be better.
Re: Gary Hooper
There was a point raised that Hooper made runs into box that were not seen or were possible through our midfield, I have seen a few times Freeman look up to were he wanted to play the ball, inside and into the box and players not on same wave length. So can understand how players like Freeman, and Hooper could be very useful in training.
Re: Gary Hooper
Never underestimate the work these types of player do behind the scenes. In a squad you will have players who might not be the first name on the teamsheet every Saturday, but they bring sprit and harmony to the dressing room. MA said this about Adam Mekki.
