Occupying most of my thoughts this week, I’m already feeling sick. Think if we play at 100% energy we wear Solihull down.

On this day in 2015 we beat Gateshead 2 nil to get promotion.

Confident we'll beat Solihull on Saturday
That is tomorrow. (25th)

We rarely play at a high pace, we're more measured. My concern is that Solihull (and Bromley) usually start very aggressively and get the ball forward so we can't afford to lose concentration early on.

I’m not a superstitious person but I can’t shake the thinking that 2025 will be our year. As we won the league in 05 and 15. Don’t we lose in playoffs with years ending 4? Definitely just nerves. My 10 yr old son is very confident though. Maybe the 10 year pattern will continue tho and we just win league 2 in 2025? Having won at Wembley in 2024!

I believe we are the better team. But it's a play off and the margins are paper thin. Lucky deflection, dodgy decision or an out of character 35 yard thunderbolt could swing it either way. Yep I'm nervous already!

We need a fast start and then attack attack attack. Its a cup match, no points, 3 up front with pace .
Do not give them the chance to get into the match. The team need passion and pride and fight like lions for the big prize. Time to add themselves to the legends bar.

Solihull are clearly a very dangerous side. Osbourne, Campbell, Shade - they were a cut above tonight.

But as we’ve seen tonight they’re hardly infallible.

It’s shaping up to be some occasion on Saturday.

Halifax were playing their 5th game in 12 days and came back at them.

We need to play our game and let Solihull worry about us.

Solihull are going to come and sit in and hit us on the break. We should have lots of possession and territory. Just need to not get overaggressive.

If on the other hand they want to play us in an open game, bring it on.

Between them playing yesterday and listening to the beespod this now feels very real.

Couldn’t agree more with beespod we need to be loud and portray confidence even if inside we are nervy!

In terms of team I would only expect one of brunt or freeman (likely the later) and then one of Pritchard and Thompson (likely the later).

Expect Laurie will make the bench which will be super strong just because it’s a huge match to take a gamble of no sub. Sure we are practicing penalties every day…..wonder if there’s a chance of a substitution if DB feels LW is stronger at penalties.

Credit to cropper whos performances over the last few weeks seem to have silenced any debate on right back spot. Expect Idris LWB and agree with Charlie you can’t drop stead at the moment.

Bet 365 currently got Barnet 1/2 Solihull 9/2 draw 7/2. Wish I had their confidence .Given results this season 7/2 draw looks value.
