Corporation tax on profit. They can reduce profit by spending the income.
For example, spending some of it on bolstering the academy.
Barnet showing all the flair of Rupert-the-Bears trousers, but lots more style!

Yep - probably isn't a coincidence that we've seen this investment after the Edwards sell on fee

That's some signing. Apparently a 6 figure fee. Transfer embargo lifted even though deal not completed.

According to twitter.....

Josh Anifowose is currently on trial at Barnet after previously being playing trial games for Hartlepool and Boreham Wood

Boston Utd, Southend and Dagenham are all interested in securing the young midfielders signature, with the 20-year-old being hot property this summer

Interesting on the latest beespod, that Dean is still actively looking and we do have money to pay a fee.

With Kenlock being mentioned as being a left centre back, feel like we're light in the left wing back with an ageing Coker and a potentially exiting Kanu.

Maybe a LB, CM and an out and out striker to compete with Kabamba is on the list?

I think Francis will be more than just an option at LWB from what i have seen of him.

Thought he was more of a right sided player than a left?

Barnet will eventually pick up £1.5million (probably in dribs and drabs), plus a few thousand when various milestones are reached. Posh will come out of this as big winners if Ronnie is a huge success at Saints and earns a move to a really big club at home or abroad, money Barnet will see nothing of.
Usually we get 50% of any future earnings Peterborough get (I think their chairman even confirmed as such in his podcast).
I didn't think a previous club to get a percentage of a future sell-on. The situation could go on and on if a player keeps moving around.
We get 50% of everything Posh get.

If the initial fee is £3M then we get £1.5M immediately.
They are also likely to be receiving an amount over a longer period.
Then DMAC will have added clauses triggered by league appearances, international appearances, Southampton avoiding relegation from Premier League, and of course a % of whatever he is sold for next.

Every time Posh get paid, we get 50% of what they get paid.

If Ronnie goes to Real Madrid for £20M in 3 years time then we get £10M
If he makes his senior England debut then Posh will get something for that and we will get half.
Absolutely everything Posh get, we get half, (and DMAC loves a clause).

£3M will just be the tip of the iceberg.
50% of what posh get maybe. We won’t get 50% of a transfer fee that Southampton receive that’s for sure!
No, but you can just about guarantee that Peterborough will have a decent sell-on clause, and based on the low initial fee I would suggest that it's going to be higher than 25%.

We then get 50% of that.

If Southampton sell Ronnie for £20M in 2 years time and Peterborough have a 50% clause then they will get £10M and we will still get £5M, so yes, we absolutely do get a portion, (not 50%), of a fee that Southampton receive for Ronnie, (as long as DMAC has included a sell-on clause and of course he has.

Even if Peterborough only have a 25% clause then they still get £5M and we still get £2.5M of that.

To take it 1 stage further.... Let's say, (just for arguments sake), that Peterborough have included a 25% sell-on clause and Southampton sell Ronnie to...... Arsenal for £20M, and they also include a 25% sell-on clause, and then Arsenal sell Ronnie to..... Real Madrid for £50M then we STILL get a cut of that.

Real Madrid would give Arsenal £50M 100%
Arsenal would then give Southampton £12.5M 25%
Southampton would then give Peterborough £3.125M 25%
Peterborough would then give us £1.562M 50%

Obviously this only works if the selling clubs include these clauses in the transfer deals, but Peterborough ALWAYS do know, and Southampton are well-known for it too.

To be completely honest though, Arsenal aren't known for this at all.
Brentford on the other hand really are.

What's the chance of getting O'Donkor back for all or part of the season? Oxford are apparently looking to loan him out again.

i'd imagine they would want a lg2 loan at least for him but if it hasn't happened by deadline day why not although a possible lesson is there from Finley Potter's 2nd loan spell which never hit the heights of his first.

Transfer deadline day signing but only managed 1 league appearance.
