And there was me believing he was to good for the National league. Oh no sorry it's him who believes he is to good.

Probably back at the right level, he certainly didn't pull up any trees at Burton

Strikes me as someone who in later years will regret some of his earlier behaviour and wonder if he's achieved everything he could have achieved

Barnet gave him an opportunity to become a professional player and he threw the opportunity back in our face. OK so we don't know what happened between him and TK but many of us don't always hit it off with our boss, we just have to accept who is boss and turn the other cheek.

But I'm not sure that he will regret his behaviour in later years. He strikes me as someone who won't see that fault was at least in part on his side.

Wasn't it the case that he was asked to play through injury and he refused to do so? Perhaps I've got him mixed up with someone else. So many players went through our books back then.

Paulo Vernazza in there amongst the Ollie Watkins entourage post-match - I see that he’s his agent

Like Bowditch and Deverdics, Vernazza was one of those “good on paper but crap on grass” signings that we seemed to have a particular penchant for back in the late noughties.

Deverdics still playing at Blyth Spartans - and gets a few goals each season...

No sign of 'sir' beside Ronald Koeman on the Dutch bench, has he been dismissed?

I don’t think he ever had a role in Koeman’s coaching team, did he? I’ve see him in the stands during this tournament amongst the great and the good, but not on the bench in the coaching set-up. He was Van Gaal’s assistant at the last World Cup, and I’d assumed he’d left when Van Gaal left.
