It's coming home

Post: # 377425Post John Hunt »

One day.

I would have felt elated if it had but years of experience mean that after losing I can shrug my shoulders and leave it there.

Nothing changes. It doesn't make me richer or poorer, healthier or less so.

Bringing Back Barnet would make a positive difference to many of our lifes and we were able to enjoy a wonderful afternoon thanks to Iain and all.

Rewatching the film was a moving experience seeing Richard, Beryl, Terry, Tank and I think Joan on screen. Barnet at Underhill and away was a big part of them and they are sorely missed.

All of the managers had England connections. My Dad saw Barry play for England schoolboys at Wembley. Allen played for the U21 and PF is still England C gaffer, and thanks to our de facto leader JeffcSearle and friendships forged at Underhill we followed their fortunes across Europe.

Bring Back Barnet. I hope it happens.
