Didn't we score 10 and 8 in successive home games? I think Burton and Mossley(?) were the victims. If it wasn't successive matches, they were pretty close together.

Clinical performance today. Chapman, Brunt and Glover were playing naughty football today. It was only Tamworth though.

You can only beat what's put in front of you. We made mincemeat of them.

As my old man said, thank you to Brunt for putting in that performance the day after the transfer window shut

Many scouts from Turkish and Saudi teams today.

Alan Brazil and Ally McCoist were there. Not sure if it was a Talksport feature or a recruitment drive for Big Al Ally.

That was lovely to watch. The depth and quality is there. Some great moves and goals. Shame about the attendance but hey ho.

It really doesn't get any better than that. Their contemporaneous twitter feed is very complimentary about us. Adoring even. 'Sensational first half', 'Barnet playing liquid football', 'Barnet are unplayable' etc. Usually the opposition's twitter feed barely mentions us. It was Tamworth's biggest defeat in a quarter of a century.
I was surprised how quite a few of their fans lined the perimeter at the end applauding and then their players went along the line touching hands. ("Well done lads at least it wasn't eight or nine"). Very step four. Whilst I'd never abuse or boo my team I'd never applaud a slaughter like that. Surely it makes all other cheering and applause redundant if you do that.

Fantastic performance today. We have so many players who are comfortable on the ball and can make incisive passes. Great finishing too. As others have said Brunt was outstanding, but everyone was at least 8/10 today.

Attendance wasn't great but no schools or junior clubs there today. I thought the atmosphere was actually pretty good. Good to see new safe standing area in action, I'm sure use of it will grow.

Finally, had a pie and mash plus chips. Good quality and reasonable price. The best catering for some time, I hope people give it a try. How far we've come since the dark days post Covid. Well done Dean and everyone at the club.

Looking forward to Gateshead!

Last season Tamworth won the National League North and in the process conceded just 29 goals.
That was, with Arsenal, the joint lowest conceded in the top six tiers of English football.
The players, management and supporters of Tamworth might not get much of a good night’s sleep tonight.

The Tamworth Twitter was quite surreal. Usually all you get from Twitter ( including ours) for opposition goals is acknowledgement that a goal happened. Tamworth's was full of details and praise.

As for their fans /players, it's good that the Tamworth fans stayed until the end and acknowledged that their team kept trying until the end. I doubt I'd be able to be so generous in defeat as they were.

And gained 96 points.

An example of just how big the gap between NL and NLN /S really is.

Lets put a stamp on our authority and have a proper ruthless streak to our performance to show the division we well and truly mean business.
Delighted my annihilation prediction came to fruition. We have a very good squad for this level.

The players and especially our manager deserve so much more than the pitiful attendances they have to play in front of.
