Watching Dean and the coaching staff was nearly as enjoyable as the match - and it highlighted to me what a great management team we have. It was the level of detail - capturing moments in the game where an individual could improve - Kirk taking notes, the coaching throughout the game.

It came across how we want to play and the demands and expectations on players and the standards that the management team are setting.
DB was fuming at Nick Hayes pretty much all game for taking too long to play out / going long every time.

- “He doesn’t understand what we’re trying to do!”

- “I’m gonna need to have a word with him at Half Time”

- “He’s not fucking listening!”

Also loved that he wasn’t letting up even at 7-0, he wanted more goals.

“Quicker! Quicker! Give it Hartigan! Chappers is on! Too slow!”
He was constantly on at Hayes wasn’t he haha, the “oh my fackin jaeeesus” in his Irish accent literally had us all laughing. The Brennan show was so much fun to watch. Constantly on at the players and was working. Was really nice to see him turning round every now and then to the younger players Wilko and Francis with coaching tips throughout the game, top coaching.

My first time in the Safe Standing and have to say was very enjoyable. My only issue was that most people were sitting down, not sure how to fix that issue but would encourage people to give it a go. The roof covers more than I thought from looking over from Legends which was a plus.

I do think the slight decrease in attendance so far this year is down to the slight increase in price. I know it’s not a lot and hasn’t affected me going but to the casual viewer £24 can be seen as a lot. My mate goes QPR and now and then I tempt him to the Hive. It’s £28 to see the R’s in the championship.

In hindsight, calling it the 'Bee Army Terrace' may have been a smarter move to avoid the issue of people sitting. But there should certainly be something highlighting it's a standing area on the turnstile signage, if there isn't already.

It's an interesting one with the ticket prices, because that £24 ticket is balanced out by £20 in the aforementioned new standing area. That feels like a win overall, re: having a lower walk-up price for new / floating fans, but I do appreciate that people coming with friends are inevitably going to have to pay the price of the stand their friend is in.

£24 does seem like questionable value compared with QPR, but I think that's an issue for all lower league clubs (we're not hugely out of sync price-wise) and the vast majority are growing their crowds regardless.

I'm at a bit of a loss in terms of how we do the same to be honest, beyond the team continuing to play attractive football and getting back into the EFL!

I think we've partially offset the Legends stand increase with the safe standing pricing and discounts for concessions. Generally it does however appear expensive at first glance and may put some people off unfortunately.

When the stand (or at least the bit under cover) is more heavily populated almost everyone will stand.

With the numbers present and the way the team played on Saturday it inevitably became arm chair viewing. It was a quality performance from the team and sitting down to admire it was a justifiable indulgence.
