If true that does not reflect well on DB or CS. A good leader should be able to listen to constructive criticism, and take it on it on board or not as appropriate. Worrying if CS feels he cannot voice his opinion.
I suspect neither is the case.

Not new – still have a signed photo of Johnny Fairbrother somewhere - but choose my moments to drop in here. There’s enough wild hate and anger in the real world so I try and treat football as an escape – should have picked another club!jamiefrbees wrote: ↑09 Sep 2024, 09:39johnnyfairbrotherbee wrote: ↑09 Sep 2024, 09:28 Just hanging it out there…I thought that was an excellent, pretty high quality match between 2 slick teams committed to passing rather than lumping it. Lots of skill on both sides but with enough scuffs/ miskicks to show why no-one on the pitch is going to play for Man City quite yet. A lot of our passing was excellent, maybe the groans rather than cheers when the final pass broke down reflect higher expectations this year than last. Towards the end Gateshead were knackered – it’s a credit to Barnet that we worked them so hard. Hope the highlights show that 2 -minute spell when the ball hardly left their six yard box, 2 point blanks saves, a couple of blocks… Just needed to take some of those chances!
Think it’s also possible to say Gateshead are very good. Their no 10 must be a nightmare to play against, his movement off the ball was excellent. The 9 & 12 were excellent too and if our defenders couldn’t keep them in their back pocket all match, I don’t think it means they were poor overall. The tackle before their first goal was brilliant – just unlucky the ball fell to Gateshead players. Probably in a minority but I thought the ref had a good game – early yellow cards for both teams for shirt pulling meant the game flowed well after that. Also thought Gateshead stewards were welcoming and chatty, toilets cleaned before half time and free parking. Pretty positive compared to many away grounds!

This was just a John Cism and a huge compliment for your balanced view and non-knee jerk perspectivejohnnyfairbrotherbee wrote: ↑09 Sep 2024, 13:26Not new – still have a signed photo of Johnny Fairbrother somewhere - but choose my moments to drop in here. Was thinking this as well. I was wondering if his social media presence lead to him being slightly overpraised but the NL TOTW is a much more objective measure.
didn’t think it’d only take 48 hours after writing this for it to happenJdk103 wrote: ↑07 Sep 2024, 17:46Berlinbee wrote: ↑07 Sep 2024, 17:32Convincing of what? I just have a different opinion to you. I think a combination of Brennan’s tactics, decision-making and game management isn’t to the standard of that of a championship winning manager. He’s the Gareth Southgate of non league. Great bloke, great recruitment but just doesn’t have the minerals ala Paul Cook, Phil Parkinson or Dave Challinor at Stockport to get us over the line. That’s my opinion and I don’t think it’s that far fetched or leftfield to be honest.
Lucky I’m not the media lad raising questions to his face, I’m sure it’d turn sour in seconds and I’d be told I’m breaking ranks with the ‘togetherness’
And with analysis such as ‘not having the minerals’, it’s no wonder you’re not doing our interviews
