Rumours of a bit of a switcharound with Luhe Garrard coming back in at Boring Wood and Sam Cox exiting Oxford City and returning to 85%ers.

Rather strange, BW don't sack managers - Luke Gerrard lasted 8.5 years, Ian Allinson lasted 7 years and it was his decision to leave. They are currently in 10th place, 12 points from 8 games - only 3 points worse than us. Suggests there has been a big fall out.
It appeared that Luke Gerrard left BW on good terms and he's currently out of work . Oxford City are bottom of NLS so it would hardly be a surprise if Sam Cox is sacked, especially now that Ross Jenkins is available. Logical if they both went back.

Never go back they say
Re: Boringwood sack manager
Wonder how the BW players will feel about that, quite unpopular with some I heard indirectly
Re: Boringwood sack manager
Hope it goes well for him. Doesn’t look like an easy job with preseason favourites Dorking also struggling a bit.
Come on Bees

Wood's chairman gambled and spent big to keep them full time and re-signed several established national league players. The stated aim was to bounce back to the NL immediately.becbee wrote:Rather strange, BW don't sack managers - Luke Gerrard lasted 8.5 years, Ian Allinson lasted 7 years and it was his decision to leave. I think they expected to be top of the league or very close to it by now and have panicked. After only 8 games seems very harsh considering they are 10th.

And Paul Fairclough and Barry Fry.

Reliable information I've been told is that Danny Hunter is very hands on when it comes to team selection and that's just the tip of the iceberg.
Re: Boringwood sack manager
Just been speaking with a Boreham Wood ST holder and at the moment most of their fans are unhappy because under RJ they were playing some of the best football seen for a long time. They don't want to go back to the hoofball played before under Garrard.

Some of our fans wanted Garrard as our manager.
Very glad we got Brennan in charge and not him.
