Very sad to hear but I'm not at all surprised! It's a really horrible place IMO & I won't be going preferring to watch it on NLTV instead.Pixie wrote: ↑15 Sep 2024, 17:14I go to almost every home game and many away games every season. However, I felt so uncomfortable at Wealdstone when I last went that I have not returned. I didn't feel safe in the ground and staff members made me feel uncomfortable and very aware of being female.
For those reasons, I won't be there on Saturday. I will support the team but not at the expense of my emotional comfort.

Haha really??
Me and a few others have gone in there the last 2 years before the game and was never any issue.
Though not gone in after games cause we just go home but been ok before the games.
Re: Wealdstone Away
With all the pantomime rivalry and bad experiences of some of our female fans I have absolutely no inclination to visit that ground.
Thankfully it is being televised if I can only work out how to get DAZN.

Sorry to hear about the bad experiences for female fans. It's a horrible ground to visit. They are not taking the piss, as there only 3 urinals in the gents. The facilities and lighting are appalling. As it's a 5.30pm KO and on NLTV, I won't be going.
Re: Wealdstone Away
Adding to this, has anyone signed up to DAZN for the NL? Is there a subscription option for the league or do you need to pay for the whole service?John Hunt wrote:With all the pantomime rivalry and bad experiences of some of our female fans I have absolutely no inclination to visit that ground.

Re: Wealdstone Away
As the game is on dazn surely it won’t be on nltv ?
Re: Wealdstone Away
Still on NLTV these games although Aaron McLean stated by the end of the month it should be on the DAZN platform too.Barnet loyal wrote:As the game is on dazn surely it won’t be on nltv ?
A lot staying away on Saturday it seems then.

Re: Wealdstone Away
i had a look this morning John, its also available on NLTV as its not a 15:00 ko.
DAZN is streaming service so you can get it through sky Q, Glass or Stream, or you can use phones , tablets etc and cast them to the TV.... or just through the browser on a smart tv.
Looks like DAZN is £9.99 per month to subscribe on a 12 month contract .... £99.99 for an annual pass , or a flexible pass for a month which is £19.99 and can be cancelled at any time.
The do say you can get a free 7 day trial, but then reading the small print you need to pay for a PPV event too to qualify.
Dont know if any pubs in Barnet are showing it..... I doubt any in Chesterfield will be, but as I live in Zacs home town maybe I could ask?

Re: Wealdstone Away
I don't think there is a National League branch of dazn yet. All of their 'TV picks' are being broadcast via NLTV whilst they get their channel up and running.
Re: Wealdstone Away
From https://www.thenationalleague.org.uk/
"Once up and running with the migration of NLTV onto the DAZN ecosystem as an add-on channel the agreement with DAZN will run until 2031."
As they say NLTV is an "add-on channel", I assume we will still be able to pay per game from NLTV?

That is so pathetic that fans want to watch the game on TV.

Its unfair to call it pathetic if you don't know peoples personal circumstances. I don't know yours, so I don't know how many games you have been to this season.Margerison wrote: ↑16 Sep 2024, 11:42 That is so pathetic that fans want to watch the game on TV.

I'm a season ticket holder and I live in Chesterfield... Originally from Barnet and yes I appreciate it my choice to live where I do, however, a home game is a 276 mile round trip. This season I've been to Halifax, Ebbsfleet which took me 5 and a half hours to get there and another 4 to get home, Southend, Tamworth and Braintreee...and was abroad for Gateshead and Altrincham.... Night games at the Hive are impractical, and if you have travelled up and down the M1 you will know the multiple roadworks. and overnight closures often occur, taking me through the delights of Luton and Leicester. and getting home close to 1:00am.
With a 17:30 kick off on Saturday, and the option to watch on TV I'd hardly say that's pathetic if I choose not to go..... spend £50 on fuel and a ticket or £9.99 to watch at home. Also being a season ticket holder the club gets income for a home game even if I choose not to go.

‘Our fans’? Before my time, but am I right in saying that Margerison played for Wealdstone as well as Barnet? We don’t have an agent provocateur in our midst, do we? How exciting if so!Margerison wrote: ↑16 Sep 2024, 11:42 That is so pathetic that fans want to watch the game on TV.

Sorry to offend if that’s not the case, but a quick click of the mouse shows that almost all, and possibly 100% by the looks of it, of your posts on here over the years have been in relation to fixtures with Wealdstone/Hive issues etc. If you are a Wealdstone fan, then of course you have my sympathy!
