It’s been more of an informal fire-side chat type event.
However, I can give one exclusive. This National League/EPL U-21s competition is going ahead this season but we’re not taking part in it!

Interesting, how have we managed to get out of it?

By the sounds of it, just by saying ‘no!’

Brief summary:

Injuries - Nicke & Tavares - should be involved next Saturday, Kanu 4-6 weeks, Danny Collinge 4 weeks, Billy Clifford 6 weeks, RHJ Three months, Nartey was mentioned but DB didn't mention a timeline. Kanu & RHJ both injured separately in same training session.

Barnet not playing in tin pot cup with Premier u21 sides (He reckons 14 NL sides have agreed to take part.)

Loves the club, not really going to walk because of a few moaners

Talked how much TK loves the club and their great relationship also said Natasha K was doing a great job (this was before TK popped in)

Says Cookie did him a favour loaning him Hobson and hinted Chesterfield paying some or all of his wages - the benefit from them is getting him game time in a team that plays a similar way

We had a season long loan deal for Joe Quigley agreed with Chesterfield, but FGR gazumped us with a permanent transfer at the last minute

Reckons FGR have the best squad and the biggest budget in the division. They were a good team and then they bought two proper strikers. Triggered a release clause to extract Cardwell from Southend.

Hayes is taking time to settle in. Solihull play a different style and it's taking Hayes time to adapt, but he's making progress (thought that showed today BTW - first game where I've been really impressed with Hayes)

It was all a bit strange really. Initially he sat down and waited for people to come to him, where as I think most people were expecting a Q&A. It took a while to get going, but eventually everyone pulled a chair up and it became much more of a chat with people chipping in with questions.

Thank you for this, all really interesting and good to know.
Bit strange how we never get told anything about injuries then there's a chat and he tells all.

Great news nice 1 rudebwoyben.
Be interesting to see how competitions goes looking in from outside.

Bad news about long term injuries.

RHJ injured in a training session and out for three months! One third of of a season. That seems extraordinary. Did he get hit by a runaway oil tanker?
Did he eat some of our sweets washed down with a glass of Legends beer?

Happened to RHJ last season, never gets going.

Actually quite surprised we didn’t want to enter the completion with such a big squad but just not worth the risk I guess.

Why the incredulity? Players can and do get injured in training, even seriously. Still have to run hard and turn sharply, both of which can lead to injuries.

I think "incredulity" best sums up the amount of times we seem to be landed with these types of injury build-ups. I won't use the word "crisis" because we seem to be getting by at the moment and there looks to be a few bright spots on the horizon.
