Re: Exeter….dare we dream?
We tried to make it a regular event last season, gave plenty of notice but hardly anyone was interested. For one offs, I.e. Hartlepool - no trains or big games we'll look into it but we're not going put, what is a lot of effort in, if we don't get the numbers. The club are not interested but have supported us and subsidised some games. If we got promoted, things might be very different.
make those interested pay up front if they wish to use a coach, might stop those saying they will go and then not turning up

Perfect. Shaping up very nicely for a banana skin on Saturday
Re: Exeter….dare we dream?
Would there by extra time in this game or straight to pens?
Re: Exeter….dare we dream?
Is it definitely straight to penalties? This is from the FA guidelines for 2024-5. It's clear as mud to me - this seems to be the only mention of penalties in the document though

. . . dare we dream?
Nothing wrong with dreaming, just think of the cash!

Every single season most results in all rounds go with the higher league team winning - but by no means do all of them do. Ultimately if all matches completely went with expectation there'd be no point in playing them in the first place.
It's 11 v 11. Just believe.

Re: Exeter….dare we dream?
We are the underdog. Exeter are expected to win. And we have a manager and players who will relish this challenge. Let's embrace the cup spirit and go for it. I want us to be 1st match on any highlights show, because that means we've done something special. Scrappy 1-0 win from a long throw? All day long... let's rattle them!
Barnet showing all the flair of Rupert-the-Bears trousers, but lots more style!
Re: Exeter….dare we dream?
If Deano is not interested in the FA Cup he could throw Exeter into confusion by starting with all 10 (?) of our centre backs, stay in our own half and really park the bus. With a 0-0 finish we could have a proper replay at the Hive or if it goes to pens bring on Kabamba, Stead, Shelton and Chapman on the 119th minute. If nothing else we would be on every football programme across the World.

Do you like omens? I do.
The referee on Saturday is the very experienced Lee Swabey.
The last time he ref’d one of our games was six years ago, an FA Cup tie away in the West Country, a 2 1 win for the Bees at Bristol Rovers.

I may be wrong here, but it strikes me that rail travel is becoming increasingly expensive, and televised fixtures are being rearranged at rather short notice in the NL nowadays. Meanwhile, if we (hopefully!) reach the EFL, there are now more unconventional kick-off times with the new TV deal.
Could there be more interest in a coach service than there was in the past? If something was launched early in the summer - before people start booking train tickets following the fixture release - I wouldn't be surprised if there was significant take up.
Could this potentially be passed on to the club, to see if there was any interest in creating a similar partnership?
