Barnet 1/50
York 33/1
FGR 150/1
Oldham 1000/1
After today’s win at Alty the odds on Barnet have been somewhat revised.

BetFred offers the best deal at 200/1 ON
There are two bookies actually offering 1000/1 ON

I have never seen odds like this in many years of punting.
Get a consortium of 200 together to put a couple of quid each at Betfred. We can each be taking home a cool 1p.

Who is with me? DM me if you want a slice of the pie.

We are down to the last knockings.

There are only three teams left who can win the National League this season. Forest Green Rovers who host Solihull Moors in the early kick off, York City who host Wealdstone and, of course, the mighty Bees with, on paper, the hardest fixture of the three, at home to Gateshead.

At this stage of the season wins are not a divine right. Our last three games all finished in 1 0 wins and we had to dig really deep to get those nine points. We will have to do the same on Saturday. Would I take another 1 0 win? Absolutely! And I would willingly accept the 8/1 odds on offer for that result.

Bees win 4/9
Gateshead win 13/2
Draw 18/5

I hope that The Hive is rocking. There is no Premiership football so I would expect lots of on-the-day rock ups. I would recommend you getting your tickets early.

Goid luck all.

It’s the same (generous!!!) odds on offer for a Bees win at Braintree as last week for our home game against Gateshead.
Ah well…a win is a win, and I guess the bookies are getting a bit peed off paying out on Barnet’s wins.

Is there a possibility that Barnet will not return home three points richer? Well, yes, of course. We were all expecting an easy win up at Boston but had to settle for a draw and Braintree, (like Boston) have beaten our closest rivals York City, so we must treat Braintree with respect.

Braintree win 6/1
Bees win 4/9
Draw 7/2

York City have a 12.30 kick off away to AFC Fylde. Can the Coasters do us a favour?
A small wager on the home win and/or the draw might be rewarding.

Fylde win 15/4
York win 4/6
Draw 7/2

Good luck all.

Any odds offered anywhere on the consolation bet of York winning the league from this nay on impossible position?

Yeah Skybet are offering 50/1, whacked a tenner on myself this morning just to potentially soften the blow. Obviously dont think it will happen.

William Hill also going 50/1 on York.
For those of you pessimistic about Saturday you can get 10/1 on a Wealdstone win from bet365 and Betfred.
I will update the odds later in the week.

Reading the many comments on the Braintree match thread there seems to be a mix of both confidence and trepidation.
As all regular readers of Value For Money would expect I fall into the latter category.
This is the time of the season when unexpected results happen. Expect the unexpected!

For me it’s a shame we have the Wealdstone match right now. Had this fixture been a month or two back then no problem, but as it is we have been a bit off of our game in recent matches and the Stones are themselves on a bit of a high, particularly after disposing of FGR last Saturday.

There will be many punters looking at the 9/1 offered on the away win and the 5/1 on the draw. I would not blame them. They are value bets.

Bees win 3/10
Stones win 9/1
Draw 5/1

Sorry for my pessimism (yet again). After 64 years of following Barnet I have become used to seeing my beloved Bees knocking my confidence off its pedestal.
Having said all that….COME ON YOU BEES!!!!!!

Good luck all.

Wasn’t it gutting to see the Bees drop two points last week? These sort of results do happen at the tail end of the season and who is to say we may have another such result against Eastleigh?
God, I hope not!
That draw seemed like a defeat.

I had managed to cover all three results but the small financial gain did nothing to lift me out of a very depressing weekend.

I blame myself for the dropped points. Due to the beautiful weather I did not wear my usual Bees attire opting instead to wear an old Bees shirt. Sod that! Never again. It’s back to the BARNET,,,IT’S IN THE BLOOD sweatshirt tomorrow regardless of the temperature.

Bees win 3/10
Eastleigh win 17/2
Draw 17/4

I do think we will win this game but I also think York will win at Gateshead. I might do a win double, their odds are a bit better….

Gateshead win 21/10
York win 23/20
Draw 13/5

Now, where’s that sweatshirt?
Are you as superstitious as me?

Good luck all.

What a frustrating game on Friday. A stupid goal to give away, a good comeback equaliser, then huff, puff but no winner.
Ah well, on we go to Gander Green Lane for our return fixture against Sutton United.
This is a must win game (for the sake of my nerves). Two wins needed, please don’t let us have to rely doing that in the final two games, or for York to drop points.

Sutton win 5/1
Bees win 1/2
Draw 10/3

I managed to cover all three eventualities on Friday courtesy of a bet on the Bees after Eastleigh’s goal, so a smallish win.
I will try the same tactics for this game but am more than happy to lose money if Barnet take the lead and hold on.

Good luck all.

Well we have two opportunities to get that one precious point.

A sell out home game against the FA Trophy finalists Aldershot comes up first and getting on for 6000 Bees fans will be praying for that point (or preferably three points) at our final home game of the season.

It promises to be a very special day, one that will stay long in the collective memory of all us Bees.
Over to you Mr Brennan, your backroom staff and, of course, our fabulous squad of players.
No pressure!

Bees win 1/4
Shots win 10/1
Draw 21/4

So the bookies and punters seem to think there can only be one result. Aldershot will be thinking otherwise. We must dominate this game, keep them on the back foot and shoot on sight…no messing around Bees, please. Let us just get the job done.

As for betting, I must be honest, 1/4 is not very attractive so I will hold off for better odds during the course of the game. I have already had a small wager on the draw. That result will suit the Shots and maintain their National League status.
Let us all hope and pray that Barnet do NOT maintain their National League status!

Good luck all.
