Joining the Bees in EFL2
Joining the Bees in EFL2
One of York City, FGR, Oldham Athletic, Rochdale, Halifax or Southend.
York City certainly deserve to go up based on their 2nd place finish. It’s a great day out unless you play there midweek in January.
FGR, nice part of the world too but I would like them to serve more time in the NL rather than an immediate return to the EFL.
Oldham get a sympathy vote from me. They have gone through hell since their time in the Premier League.
Rochdale are a similar club to Barnet and have been out of the EFL for a while. Likewise they have suffered with financial problems.
Halifax are a bit of a yo yo club (like us) so I would not be upset to see them promoted.
Everyone knows what Southend have been through in recent years and if these things were decided on supporters’ loyalty they would be top of my list. However, they finished 7th so, not for me, but good luck to them next season.
A lot to ponder, but hoppy is hoping for a York v Rochdale final and York being successful after extra time and penalties.

I just hope it's York. Far and away the second best team in NL, it's a no brainer to me.
And York is a lovely place to visit . Maybe the EFL would make a York v Barnet match into a weekend fixture?!

I hope it's York as well. Apart from being a beautiful city, the club deserve it on merit. Got a sneaking feeling it might be Southend though and if succesful, they'd kick on next year.

York deserve to go up. Fantastic place to visit. So much to see and do. So many places to eat and drink.

Forest Green hopefully
Re: Joining the Bees in EFL2
Halifax as theyre most likely to struggle and go back down.

Oldham would be my preferred. Or Rochdale whose fans were a great bunch after the away game.Masuka wrote:Oldham are going up.
Wouldn't begrudge York at all after reaching 96 points. Southend need a few more years down here.

Re: Joining the Bees in EFL2
Halifax would probably struggle the most if they go up so one more team that could finish under us come end of season.
Rest bigger clubs then us so would expect a larger budget.

So the Wombles are one up. Selfishly I want the Wombles to stay in our division as a new ground for me to visit with the Bees but Nottingham would be an attractive place to visit for many.
