It'll be incredibly difficult for any club to break into the premier league with the riches and parachute payments, they will be paying in the coming seasons. So many clubs in the championship are putting their futures in jeopardy by spending beyond their means trying to get amongst the so called elite. I think he's said that if someone presented him with a viable plan for the club then he would happily depart. It wasn't a rumour. The club announced it on the OS only to change their minds a few days later after it came to light that the investor had a history of asset stripping clubs or something similar.
