I think dawat would have a very fair point if the forum was flooded with this kind of thing. However there's only two threads which is just about the most that I would want or think is necessary.

I think the Premiershit is laughing at us fella! But granted ONLY since December last year did they agree put £100 million of the TV income annually - 5.84%.

dawat wrote:Guys as a non-aligned voter I really do not care who people choose to vote for as that is their prerogative. In the past I have tended to comment when things take a political slant on this forum, and true to form I am about to again. To me as a Barnet supporter I log onto this forum to discuss matters related to my football club or the wider general world of football if it has a slight relationship to the football I watch. If a politician gets involved with our club as per the obnoxious Brian Coleman for example, or Barnet Council with their Barnet FC witch hunt then fair do's.
What I do not do is to log onto the forum for a political discussion or for the forum to be used as a political platform for one party or another. There are plenty of other political forums for this purpose as well as the comment sections of national and local newspapers.
I now expect a heap of personal abuse and accusations of being a closet something or other, however I am sorry to disappoint some of you but I am not a closet anything, just a Barnet football fan wanting to get away from bl**dy elections for a while and discuss football.
I share your opinion and said as much on the other thread. Clearly others didn't agree with me as that thread is now 9 pages long. But I have just ignored it. I've only read this one because I didn't know from the title what it was about.
I also have no interest in the Save The Bees betting on horse racing thread, so I ignore that one too.
As others have said, we can just ignore threads which don't interest us. The proof is in how many responses there are to any thread. Occasionally someone starts a thread and gets no responses, some threads go on and on for days or longer.
To be fair, this board is much better in its limited number of Off Topic Threads than many football forums. Try Barnsley's BBS forum. ( I looked on there to see whether they were talking about Andy Yiadom's potential transfer)
