Why don't the club look at introducing a scheme where all primary school kids in the Borough of Barnet can come to games for free?
Basically schools get given flyers to give to kids so they can apply for free tickets for any home game.
It's not as generous as it looks as primary school kids are nearly always accompanied by paying adults (particularly if they have to come over from Barnet), but nevertheless some kids would love to be given a flyer saying they have a ticket to all Barnet games if they want them. Hopefully they will nag their parents to bring them along.
The benefits are multiple.
1. The club get to advertise and it's a nice gesture.
2. There is a connection to the Borough of Barnet.
3. Kids will bring parents meaning more revenue.
4. May make a lasting impression and introduce next gen of fans.
Interested to know thoughts and whether this can be proposed.

Barnet school kids for free
Re: Barnet school kids for free
I don't think the club can differentiate between primary school children in the Borough of Barnet and other children. What about children in the Borough of Harrow, they might well be living more locally. We should be reaching out to them just as much.
Also there are children who go to school in one borough but live in another, e.g. the schools on the Barnet / Enfield borders.
Having offers in individual schools is a good idea - children enjoy going to a match and seeing their friends there. But that's been tried in the past and showed little long term effect. Often parents view it as a nice afternoon out when it's free but have no particular wish to repeat it.
But that doesn't mean that we shouldn't try it. All fans have to start with their first match.

Daniel Martin is expected to be on Beespod's next Podcast to update everyone on what's going on in the community. There is lots going in with schools.

Good update here. Looks like the club will be expanding their engagement to include schools in Barnet.
