DSH Barnet World Cup Of Kits
Following the latest kit reveal, there’s been some heated conversation at DSH Towers about how orange is too orange. We feel like we’ve been tangoed.
It got us thinking about what makes a proper Barnet kit. We want to find the most popular Barnet home kit of the modern era, so we’re going to pit 32 of them against each other. It’s the Barnet World Cup of Kits.
Starting Friday, we’ll have 8 groups of 4 kits for you to vote on via our Twitter - https://twitter.com/Downhill2ndHalf - and the group stages will be announced at 10am today.
Which are you backing to win?

There's no doubt about it, we've gone from amber to tangerine.
Many might shrug but I think this is a relatively big deal and part of our identity. We've already lost the Barnet element...

Re: DSH Barnet World Cup Of Kits
Voting ended yesterday in Groups A-D and the following seasons have progressed into the knockout stages…
A: 2003-2004 (57%), 2019-2021 (22%)
19-21 narrowly beats 95-96 in a small shock. 22-23 got nowhere.
B: 2001-2002 (40%), 2016-2017 (30%)
01-02 didn’t get its own way as 16-17s black number gave a strong showing. 05-06 and 13-14 never got going after a slow start.
C: 1991-1992 (41%), 1992-1993 (31%)
Old-skool wins out against last season’s kit and the all-peach relegation affair of 00-01.
D: 1990-1991 (29%), 1986-1988 (27%)
A remarkably tight group of death with 06-07 and 08-09 coming very close to sneaking through. Literally a handful of votes in it.
This has already thrown up some tasty knockout ties but before that we have groups E-H coming up from 10am today.
As before, all voting will be on our Twitter page - https://mobile.twitter.com/downhill2ndhalf

Re: DSH Barnet World Cup Of Kits
Barnet fans you are a disgrace
How could you vote the 99-00 beaver kit over the stripes of the amazing 98-99 icis kit in the group stages?
Design was better, quality better.
I can only assume it was the pic of the great John Doolan that caused the error.
I’m not upset I’m just disappointed in you all.

Re: DSH Barnet World Cup Of Kits
Semi final voting is underway and there are wafer thin margins between two very tough to call ties.
2003-2004 takes on 2001-2002 as Vandanel clash, whereas it’s an all Loaded affair between 1997-1998 and 1999-2000 for a place in the final.
Voting closes 10pm Thursday night!
