Crepes

Post: # 338858Post wearebees »

The Wee Creperie will be serving crepes and baguettes at home games this season.

Finally, some out the box thinking, well done Barnet! :y: Looks like they are based in the new shared business space in Barnet High Street (where Foxtons used to be)...great that we are supporting a local business too. Perhaps the Urban Brewery also based there will be next?!

I don't normally buy food at football but may have to support this. Let's all give them a bit of time to find their feet with the crowds, and hopefully this can be a success. The only thing is crepes are not always the quickest to prepare but depends how its done. A lot of clubs are serving different types of food at football now, so happy to join them.

So much for any healthy eating plan!

New catering

The club has secured new caterers, for the Legends stand anyway. It's the 'Wee Creperie', crepes, baguettes, drinks and snacks. Not the most traditional football fare but definitely a step forward. On Facebook and Twitter now. Let's give it a chance!

I haven't bought food at a football ground in years - still haven't forgotten my blackened dried out chicken tikka pie years ago at Chester (!) - but even I could be tempted by this food, it sounds delicious. Hope this venture is a big success.

This does look really good. I hope the implementation of it will be smooth.

No doubt some will say they couldn’t give a toss, but it’s good to have something else in the mix as part of the matchday experience. Just hope it doesn’t fall flat.

I hope they will be given time to bed in and that there are not crepe expectations of them being perfect from day one.

Brings a whole different meaning to the "Battered everywhere they go" match chant.

Me too. I give football ground food a wide berth (jaundice yellow chips, bone dry burgers etc.) as I'd like to live as long as HM but might give this new food initiative a go. Nice one TK.

A caterer combining words for a number 1 and 2 in their name is peak Barnet FC.

Good luck to the early adopters !

Good to see the new caterers will bee serving up BEEguettes, I hope also they can offer up BEEfburgers, maybe with a portion of baked BEEns. For the vegetarians maybe something with BEEtroot included.
All washed down, of course, with a decent pint of BEEr.

Don't get too excited but BOTH the tea bar AND the Creperie are open tonight, although the Creperie is a little hidden away. Please give them a chance to bed in and hope these are long term.

Found it! By the turnstiles to the West Stand, by the corner flag.

No Tea in the hut or in legends - absolute farce.

Didn't dare risk a crepe - expect one to be served every 3 minutes meaning 5 served at half time.

Thank goodness I was driving today. Absolutely painful watching the inability to serve a draft beer due to the ridiculously gassy pipes.

Bottle bar / cans is way forward. Ditch Heinken and bring in local brewer or at least Fullers / Charles Wells again
