In my opinion cancelling was the right thing to do. A large minority of football fans do have sheep mentality and will boo / abuse / menace others etc. if their mate does. Look how impeccably they behaved at the Euros Final.

Perhaps the risk may have been lower on this occasion, but Liverpool, Man Utd and other clubs have fans who are not sympathetic to the monarchy and privileges especially as cost of living is rising.

Of course we may see some protests, but expect they'll be less extreme now a few days have passed.

There may have been a few grounds where a minute's silence wouldn't have been fully respected, but so what? Is this not a democracy where people have the right to protest (in a peaceful way ofc). Are we so fragile of hearing a few boos? I'm sure 99.99% of grounds and fans would have totally respected it and even given a full-blown national anthem too for good measure.

Unless it is a whoosh for me the chancers who misbehaved at the Euros were not your game by game football fans but chancers who wanted to be at an event.

Indeed. Seems like a very intolerant stance to adopt and that consent is enforced rather than freely given.

Enjoy the game folks. Not really able to go during the working week but this promises to be a good one.

Lets keep the momentum going.

Looks like Southend will still be bringing a massive away following despite the Tuesday evening kick-off.

Equally impressive is the 602 tickets bought by Chelmsford fans for the FA Cup match on Saturday.

While not necessarily being a huge game in terms of the outcome being immediately important, I can’t be the only one who feels that tomorrow is season-defining. Win this one, in front of a big crowd, against an in-form and well backed team, and I reckon we can start to look upwards towards the top 7.

Actually, I think these next 2 games could hugely impact how memorable this season is

Fair play if they sell out the end, it must hold about 1900 doesn't it. To have the hive rocking with a decent crowd doesn't happen enough but it definitely will help us with them roaring their side on as it creates a great atmosphere.

Good evening all, Shrimpers supporter here. It certainly looks like we will have a very decent following tomorrow night, in part because you are only a shortish drive away, but it's also probably because we've had 3 years of absolute garbage to put up with and now we have a coaching team and side that we are proud of and have started to produce some good stuff. You guys look as if you score a few, and we have a defence that hates conceding goals, so it should be a good contest for both teams. Evening games always create a good atmosphere so I reckon we will all be looking forward to it.

Good luck for the rest of the season after this game.

Cheers for the post. Great turnout by you guys, hoping for an attendance close to 3k. Should be a good game for the reasons you mention.

No seats left for Southend fans but plenty free in the Legends. Expect to see a few visitors joining Bees fans.
