Woods/Flanagan play in FA Cup

I see Woods and Flanagan both played for Cheshunt in the FA Cup yesterday, which I presume means they would be unable to play in the cup for us.

I wonder if that's an indication that their future lies elsewhere? Or it could mean that we are so keen to get them match fit, that we accepted them being cup tied.

Working on fitness rather than marginalising would be my guess. I think both Woods and Flanagan have a future as reflected by the short duration of the loan.

Non story. They won't play in fa cup 4 us as we've got plenty of options

Becomes an issue if by some miracle we get to the 3rd round and draw Liverpool away and by then both woods and Flanagan are back in our first 11 and playing well which we know they are capable of and they miss the opportunity of a lifetime, strange decision but DB knows best.

That would be an issue, but as you say it would be a miracle, and meanwhile due to the postponements of last weekend they’ve just gone 10 days without a game during this 28-day loan intended to get them vital game time.

Having said that, here are yesterday’s line-ups on the Cheshunt FC website: https://cheshuntfc.com/matches/2022-23/ ... eots-town/

Are we sure they played yesterday?

Update: If the source was Twitter, I see that they acknowledged that they posted the wrong line-up: https://twitter.com/cheshuntfcscore/sta ... dJaaOcKGiQ

Seems that Woods and Flanagan didnt play yesterday. Perhaps they’ll play in the behind-closed-doors game Brennan mentioned, because with last week’s postponement and then the cup game, they haven’t had a lot of game time and we need them to be getting fully fit.

My source was their twitter. I somehow missed the correction.

Sorry.
