Cameron Green

Post: # 339350Post 11bee717 »

Interesting to see Cameron Green training with us, he was in the background of one of the photos we tweeted yesterday. Highly rated left back that was at Wrexham last season, and then part the season on loan. He was then released by Wrexham this summer, presumably because they had a ready made replacement straight from L1. By the looks of it he was popular with the Wrexham fans, mentioning how he never put a foot wrong and that he didn't get a long run in the team, and that he was much too good to be in the NLS.

If he's not training for fitness, it would be a very good signing.

But he's not a striker.

If Beard is out for any length of time may be worth a short term deal.

If he can strengthen the squad then we should go for him. Maybe short term? Sure we need a striker but it's no use signing one unless he'll be an improvement on what we've got. We don't want another Louis Walsh type signing.

Talking about released players.... wonder if we could get jonathan dinzeyi, ex spurs and arsenal. 3 apps on loan for carlisle.

I do hope he’s on a trail with us, rather than training for fitness like Greenidge as Cameron is a decent player

It's funny the players you forget about. He was a cut above for us - but just looked at his record - l'd say very underwhelming tbh....and at Dartford last few years ....amazing how potential & talent doesn't necessarily bloom into the kind of L1 / Champ type career l'd have expected.....

He had a couple of significant injuries that put paid to his career...we have seen time and again how players nof the same after returning.

For us he was basically a left side Andy Yiadom and was sorely missed when loan ended

Yet at /around the same time we had Jack Stacey on loan, he was really underwhelming for us yet he went on to play for Bournemouth in the Premier League, now Championship.

Jack Stacey was one of the worst loanees I’ve ever seen here and Josh Clarke was one of the best.

After his loan spell with us, Josh Clarke played over thirty games for a strong Championship team in each of the next two seasons. Our eyes didn’t deceive us; he really was a cut above. As mentioned above, however, injuries sadly put paid to a very promising career.

Played right back and right wing, I think. In front or behind Yiadom. Loved playing for us as well judging by his enthusiasm, which far from every loanee did. Sad he didn't go further.
