What is this?
A blatantly false claim by the VNL Insider twitter account.

Rubbish - about Southend about to go bankrupt & having money troubles & us similar.

It's probably the only rumour we can be sure is way the opposite with TK ! I'm sure no overspending goes on !

Utlimately, the rumour is sort of true and has been for a number of years. The way TK has organised thing, Barnet FC has few assets and nowhere near enough income to cover it's costs. It survives because he chooses to use the money from some of his other companies to cross fund it. Ultimately, the club depends on those other businesses being successful and the goodwill of TK to continue.

I have often wondered about just how much damage the pandemic & the current cost of living crisis has done to those other businesses.

To be clear, I'm not arguing that TK doesn't have plenty of money, just that ultimately it's his choice as to whether to continue spending it on a football club. If he choose not to, the rumour would be true, very quickly.

So the rumour isn’t true then.

Looking like a pretty poor turnout, DB and the team are looking upwards and we need to reflect that off the pitch too.

Sometimes as a parent you have to make concessions. I'll be following on Twitter but this game he was desperate to watch. I'm sure it will be fun

Well that's around 20% of our home support. That's not bad considering the travel difficulties getting there.
What are you expecting?

Regarding my post about not being able to pay at the ground, I have contacted 20 long time supporters who I know are not computer literate, and asked them how many friends of supporters like themselves that either won't be going because of this. And last night I got back reply from 19 or the 20. The number of friends of people they know or they have attended games with that either through not being able to buy tickets on line of refuse to as believe there should be option of paying at ground, the number surprised me it was 107, and this is just the 20 I contacted. Now not saying all of those would of gone today, this is a general feeling of clubs refusing to offer only tickets on line. I have offered to buy tickets for a few who I know don't have internet but many have refused as they feel they should not be forced to rely on others because walking up and paying at the ground has been taken away, and talking about us as a club ( I know this is not down to Barnet it is Dagenhams decision ) the possibility of turning away so many supporters is crazy. We are not Wrexham or Chesterfield who get between 6-8.000, we only get between 1,100- 1500.

I’m sorry but this is bollocks. The % of people who don’t know how to make an online purchase must be vanishingly small. After all, this technology has now been around for over 20 years.

Ha ha ha not saying it's the way of the world, not saying it's a new thing, the point is the choice has been taken away from supporters, I like certain foods that are apparently had for me but it's my choice, maybe you are a person who doesn't mind being told what and when and how he can do things. I have ticket brought in line, this is not about me or you it's about supporters should have a choice of how they attend a football match. That's it.

Think the team picks itself today bar more defensive with Phillips and Pritchard in the forward 3 or Hall in the 3 at Pritchard in midfield

I’m of the older generation, as Reckless will confirm, and I am fairly computer literate. However I know lots of people of a similar age who don’t have access to the internet.
