Cheaterfield are probably trying to unsettle us ahead of the weekend.

Hardly Real Madrid coming in is it.
Re: Kabamba
Around this time last year Chesterfield were offering £150k for a loan move for EMC until the end of the season which he rejected. Right decision in the end for him. Look at him now!
Chesterfield like picking off the top players in this division so there could be some truth in the Kabamba rumours. We aren't a one man team with goals coming from all over the pitch but it would still leave a big hole to fill if he does depart.

Re: Kabamba
If Tshimanga isn't offloaded by the end of the month, what betting that Cook tries to loan him to us as part of a deal for Nicke?
Re: Kabamba
If he thinks he's too good for Chesterfield then he's hardly going to want to join us.Norfolkbee wrote: ↑26 Jan 2023, 16:54 If Tshimanga isn't offloaded by the end of the month, what betting that Cook tries to loan him to us as part of a deal for Nicke?

At face value that is probably true and with a potential move to Birmingham falling through, who'd blame him. However, it seems that now for whatever reason he is being used as a 'bench warmer' at Chesterfield. Some of their fans think his value is decreasing if he cannot command a start in a NL team. After his injury, a short and successful loan with another NL team might raise his stock again and get him the move higher up a player of his quality (before injury) merits.
All that said, I'd much prefer NK to remain at Barnet. He seems really up for the cause and that is so much better than a player potentially with more quality coming in half hearted.
Really hope NK gets a couple in a good win on Saturday

Re: Kabamba
If true, a test of our ambition. If it happens, Chesterfield rise to 4th in the list that has Enfield , Wealdstone and BWood at the top for me. By signing a second striker , this maybe becomes more likely.

Re: Kabamba
He may have no choice if no EFL club takes him and Cook freezes him out totally. I'm only thinking in terms of the remainder of the season. Any game time ie better than none.becbee wrote: ↑26 Jan 2023, 17:19If he thinks he's too good for Chesterfield then he's hardly going to want to join us.Norfolkbee wrote: ↑26 Jan 2023, 16:54 If Tshimanga isn't offloaded by the end of the month, what betting that Cook tries to loan him to us as part of a deal for Nicke?
Re: Kabamba
If that was to happen then this would definitely be the best option
They are both very good! Better than what we would normally get

Re: Kabamba
I don't imagine DB would want Tshimanga at the club, his behaviour at Chesterfield doesn't suggest his character would fit in with the character profile he's looked for in his other signings. But football wise, he'd score goals for us.
As regards Kabamba, stay with us, keep scoring for us and await the interest in the summer from Peterborough!

Re: Kabamba
Kabamba's only really done it for Brennan in terms of high goalscoring rate. Seems to really get the best out of him (constantly shouting at him!). The Chesterfield manager signed him for Portsmouth and that didn't go so well. He should give it a full season here, but I appreciate he's 30 next week and a footballer's career is short.

If he has a mystery injury and misses tomorrow I will be worried.

Re: Kabamba
if other clubs are looking at him and considering a bid then he must have something, so we should be keeping these players and build on them not sell off all our descent players like we always do and then struggle

Re: Kabamba
This seems to me to be based on very little: an ambiguous answer in a radio interview with Chesterfield’s coach and the fact that Cook bought Kabamba when he was Portsmouth’s manager.
