Why would Nicke uproot and join that load of perennial under achievers? Added to which that manager may well be jettisoned in a few months.
Unlike last season when we had one outstanding player (EMC) we now have several. Walker, Collinge, Kabamba and Pritchard to name four. I loved the way RDH had the confidence to try and lob the keeper in the first half even though he made a hash of it. And when it comes to winning challenges and playing the short pass Gorman is outstanding. It's his long passing which lets him down.

Terrific game of football - it's stunning how far we've come in such a short time.

Chesterfield will be kicking themselves as we could have had a very different result if they'd have been more clinical with their chances. That said our pressing game forced a lot of errors and Kabamba had the best game of his Barnet career. The two goals in the second half were dispatched with such confidence it's amazing to think that he's been used as a winger for large portion of his career.

It’s great that we now have a lot of players who can make vital contributions at different times during the match and continue to work together as a well-balanced and cohesive unit. In the first half Kanu had a lot of joy running at the Spirites defence. He was quieter in the second half, but no problem as RDH was the one who often took the game to the opposition in the 2nd half.
Another great thing is that there does seem to be genuine camaraderie and a sense of esprit de corps among this squad, which is no surprise considering how many of them have been ever-present or nearly so this season. Since our great run started, we have stuck with pretty much the same starting XI and it shows. This really is a contrast to so many previous seasons when the starting XI would be changed every week and new players would be drafted in all the time.

If it’s more money, then shouldn’t BFC do their best to pay more to keep him, just to the seasons end? There’s a lot to play for this season.

Agree with this. Who would blame NK leaving for a higher wage, just hope if this is the case we can match the Chesterfield offer. We need to start at least thinking with a bigger club mentality.

Yesterday was brilliant!

Unless we could get a transfer fee that would break the NL record, then I'm sure the club know that any money gained would come at too high a cost in terms of goodwill, support etc.

Anyway, from what I've read, Chesterfield need to sell Tshimanga first.

Tshimanga had a release clause according to Paul Cook and this has to be paid by Tuesday. If it is then Chesterfield will bid for a new striker

Seems to me DB is the only person that can get a tune out of Nicke not dissimilar to MA and Akinde.

Nicke is settled and clearly happy with us. Looking through his career to date, he's signed couple of contracts with EFL teams but has been put out on loan within 6 months to lower league clubs. At 30 he must want a bit of stability, but I would fully understand if he was offered another chance to double his money at another club. Given the form he's in we must be looking at getting him tied to a new oontract, the same must be said for Collinge, Kanu, Okimo,Pritchard and Walker. We are starting to build a team to be proud of, so I hope we don't blow it again. The attendances are starting to increase which is a good thing but maybe what we need to pay for all this, hopefully, will come from the sell on clauses for Ronnie Edwards and Jack Taylor.
