Great commitment, well done sir
Gateshead away
Re: Gateshead away
Did not think I would ever go to Wembley to see Barnet play there after 1972 final against Stafford Rangers, I was only 11 then lol. Oh the memories
Re: Gateshead away
Gateshead are in a lot better form than us (only losing to Wrexham, Southend & Chesterfield in 16 games) - expect it’ll be very tight either way.

Re: Gateshead away
We squandered a 2 goal lead at their place and just about scraped a draw at the Hive. We’re gonna need to go hell for leather if we want that trip to Wembley.PBBee wrote:Gateshead are in a lot better form than us (only losing to Wrexham, Southend & Chesterfield in 16 games) - expect it’ll be very tight either way.

My 12year old is so excited about prospect of going to Wembley. To be fair he's excited about Wealdstone away...
He has confirmed he will be going on the pitch when we win. He doesn't know yet that he has to walk a mile to reach it!
Re: Gateshead away
I'm on the 10.25am Lumo train out of King's Cross to Newcastle. After dinner & hopefully a few celebratory drinks with a Scottish-based Barnet fan - I'm heading back on the 9.20pm BA flight to Heathrow (current cost £75 single).
I would prefer to stay overnight in Newcastle on Saturday evening but unfortunatley I have to work on Sunday.

If you book with ba on wed 29th and fly back 21:00 after the game, you can get this for £106. This won’t suit everyone who works etc, but good if people wAnt to make a few days of it.

There is a Megabus coach scheduled to leave Finchley Road at 8.25 arriving Newcastle John Jobson St and 14.30 on 1 April. Assuming it runs to to time what chance do people think there is of making kick off ?
Re: Gateshead away
Definitely wouldn’t risk that, little chance as there’s no way you’ll be arriving bang on timeDerekRocholl wrote: ↑14 Mar 2023, 14:52 There is a Megabus coach scheduled to leave Finchley Road at 8.25 arriving Newcastle John Jobson St and 14.30 on 1 April. Re: Gateshead away
That gives you 30mins to get from there to Gateshead . Would be tight. If you are someone who not to fussed about missing kick off it might be worth risk.DerekRocholl wrote: ↑14 Mar 2023, 14:52 There is a Megabus coach scheduled to leave Finchley Road at 8.25 arriving Newcastle John Jobson St and 14.30 on 1 April. A stream at the Hive would be nice but bureaucracy probably means it's not allowed.
On a day of train strikes Gateshead is just too damn far.

That’s very true. I preferred the old Wembley. Better atmosphere and closer to the pitch.john dockers shorts wrote: ↑14 Mar 2023, 09:59My 12year old is so excited about prospect of going to Wembley. To be fair he's excited about Wealdstone away...

Trophy games aren't being streamed unfortunately
Come to think of it.... is there even any highlights of Saturday?

Are you sure the old Wembley was closer to the pitch? It had a big greyhound track all around it!amberforever wrote: ↑14 Mar 2023, 16:30That’s very true. I preferred the old Wembley.
