Re: Gateshead away
Personally I think that if you cancel your place on the bus you should still pay.
As a percy bus regular it has always pissed me off that percy is left out of pocket because he takes fares on the day and runs it out of his own pocket so if someone can't be arsed to turn up or changes plans at the last minute he loses out - the same applies to the official coach.
Pretty scumbag behaviour if you ask me.

This would result in other supporters having to make up any deficit for the cost of hiring the coaches, which is hardly fair, is it?

Not unbelievable, a symptom of the entitled inconsiderate, self centred world in which we now live unfortunately.tonbridgebee wrote: ↑24 Mar 2023, 16:59Unbelievable.b4life wrote: ↑24 Mar 2023, 09:32 We are now receiving several requests to cancel coach places so people can go by train. Nail on head , as bigbee said its hardly surprising that the club binned coaches off a few years ago.pgbee wrote: ↑24 Mar 2023, 17:05Not unbelievable, a symptom of the entitled inconsiderate, self centred world in which we now live unfortunately.tonbridgebee wrote: ↑24 Mar 2023, 16:59Unbelievable.b4life wrote: ↑24 Mar 2023, 09:32 We are now receiving several requests to cancel coach places so people can go by train. Re: Gateshead away
Yeah totally out of order really after effort was made by others to lay on a coach as originally it looked like you would not be able to go.
Re: Gateshead away
Needless to say, the BFCSA have no membership fee, and haven't raised monies to help subsidise activities.
As they can't go back to everyone who has booked and say "you'll have to pay an extra £2-3 as some people want their non-refundable payments back" someone will bare the costs, and it won't be the club. They'll be significant costs for the ticketing service, and no consideration for the immense time and effort Mark and his team will have put in to organising this. And now some people want them to dig into their own pockets?!?
Should be 100% non-refundable unless oversubscribed. Talk about leaving a bitter taste in your mouth.

Re: Gateshead away
Yes we as a committee have worked hard getting coaches at half decent prices, getting the club to subsidise costs and sorting out an easier way to book and pay but what I find really sad is we are one game away from Wembley and the requests from members to cancel there bookings and be refunded is taking up the majority of this post.
Re: Gateshead away
Just tell these people that the coach is not refundable. End of story. If they throw their toys out of the pram, let them.
Or maybe we can hope that in requesting a refund they'd just not thought about the consequences and will now reconsider.

Long time lurker, first time poster.. it’s very simple, people have put great effort in putting this together, indeed 3 of us are on the coach, but refunds are surely not on the table and all who committed to it should stick with the coach..

Re: Gateshead away
Simple message.
You’ve bought a seat on the coach. That coach and the relevant seat will be doing what it was sold to do, so use it, leave it empty or sell it on, but don’t expect a refund.

Re: Gateshead away
If they can afford train fares then they can afford to not get coach money back- their choice.Being charitable perhaps they thought worth asking you never know - not in right spirit as all know committee are doing this in their free time after work family etc

Out of order, these guys who organised it do so voluntarily, the vast majority recognise and appreciate this. COYBs !
