Re: Transfer Targets??
What has happened to Hooper? Still injured? I know he isn’t the fittest but at least he knows where the goal is.

Re: Transfer Targets??
Have we enquired about Ollie Pearce at Worthing or does he not want to turn pro/travel? He knows where the goal is for the last three seasons, at IPL and now NLS for last two. 28 years old so around his prime.
Re: Transfer Targets??
He does, but not fit enough to get there!!BeesKnees99 wrote: ↑04 Feb 2024, 12:10 What has happened to Hooper? Still injured? I know he isn’t the fittest but at least he knows where the goal is.

A very good shout! Trev - any thoughts on this?
I love Luisma & really miss his skils!

Hooper has an ankle injury and won’t be back for a few weeks according to DB last Tues (I asked him)
Re: Transfer Targets??
National League sides in London and the South East must be keeping an eye on Bishop’s Stortford’s former Watford striker Kane Crichlow.
Since returning to English football from Greece with the Blues in December the Bermudan international has scored a last minute equaliser at Ebbsfleet in the Trophy and then scored 5 (five) against Aldershot in the next round.
I see he scored again at the weekend in the league. Not a big guy, so not like-for-like cover for Kabamba, but if we’re looking for a finisher he’s surely been (being?) considered…

He's not in NLN top scorer list...Tuesds wrote: ↑05 Feb 2024, 19:03 National League sides in London and the South East must be keeping an eye on Bishop’s Stortford’s former Watford striker Kane Crichlow. Re: Transfer Targets??
Give him a chance - as I say, he only signed in December! Also worth noting that that list is league goals only, so his 6 goals in 2 games vs National League opposition - highly relevant info for a National League suitor - aren’t included for its purposes.

Still no movement on that striker then… hope we aren’t waiting to drop more points

Well we have over a week to go before we could drop more points so let's see what happens before then.BeesKnees99 wrote: ↑09 Feb 2024, 09:00 Still no movement on that striker then… hope we aren’t waiting to drop more points

Re: Transfer Targets??
Lets hope we get that striker in asap as last thing we want is Steady to run himself into the ground in Nicke's absence and leave us with no option up top during a game. i understand it needs to be the right player on the right terms but fear it could de-rail our season if we don't do it soon.
Re: Transfer Targets??
Re Stead, I was so impressed with his non-stop running in the Wealdstone game. I wonder how many kms he ran over the 100 mins.
Re: Transfer Targets??
I also thought the criticism of him was overdone. He had three good chances, all on his weaker foot; one he scored from, one he snatched at and put over and one where he was denied by an excellent save. Shame he couldn’t have scored one of those other two, but from listening to/reading some of our fans’ comments you’d think he’d missed half a dozen sitters.
Regardless, however, we are in desperate need of another striker, just as we’ve been in need of another striker throughout the season.
