I see that a member of Brennan’s title-winning Wealdstone squad, centre back Connor Stevens, has today left Boreham Wood. He missed almost the entire season just gone with a serious ankle injury so he may not be a viable option, but as a former defensive partner of Okimo under Brennan I expect we’d be interested if he were.

We certainly know that Brennan is not averse to signing members of if his 2019/20 Wealdstone squad (Oxborough, Okimo, Phillips, C. Smith…)!

I'm not sure how things are progressing on the striker front, but now would seem a good time to bolster our attacking options. We've got a run of seven Sat-Tues-Sat matches coming up - do we want to be relying on Kabamba for all of those games?

I know Stead is an option, but he doesn't look like the kind of striker that DB will use to lead the line on his own. Could we see another target man arrive in the coming days / weeks perhaps?

Looks like he can play across the forward line and in attacking midfield. Only 5ft 8in, so probably not going to be direct cover for Kabamba if he signs. I suspect he'd be a decent addition though.

Interesting that Blackwell is playing today for Braintree in the FA Cup. Their other striker Will Davies, who scored 34 for Leiston last season and started well this isn't in their squad though...

Interesting that Blackwell is playing today for Braintree in the FA Cup. Their other striker Will Davies, who scored 34 for Leiston last season and started well this isn't in their squad though...

If it is Will Davies who we sign he scored Leiston’s first goal against us in the FA Cup tie of three years ago.
