It probably wont happen as I have put a fiver on him!!!
Sorry my friend. And that's why you'll never see a poor bookmaker.

The only "easy money" from betting, is to take it from the people who think there is such a thing.

"Denise Coates, head of gambling empire Bet365, was Britain’s biggest taxpayer last year, according to the Sunday Times Tax List. The Coates family paid an estimated £481.7m, topping the annual ranking of billionaires’ tax payments for the third consecutive year".

An amazing story from a woman who took control of 6 betting offices her father had in the 90^s and turned it into an online multiple £ billion industry it is now. And fair play to her she pays tax in the UK instead to the others who hide in offshore tax loopholes. I used to be a gambler but have now almost stopped for 30 years, with a bet every year or so for fun. It is a mugs game in the long run.

Like all Bees fans I’m hoping and praying that Saturday’s awful performance was just a blip. Damn Dagenham!! I was so confident that we would beat them. Still, my piggy bank is still looking fairly plump with the wins from earlier bets.

Bees win Evens (Coral)
Ebbsfleet win 3/1
Draw 14/5

I am staying loyal to the Bees but, anything other than 3 points at The Hive on Monday and I might not risk my pennies on Saturday when we visit the Wood.

Good luck all.

Odds on a Bees win have been shortening throughout the week & we’re now slight favourites. Personally I’d bet the house on a customary 0-0 draw.

You are spot on BeesKnees99. Money has been wagered on a Bees win during the course of the week. There’s nothing really in it as can be seen on the score-forecast odds.

Wood win 7/4
Bees win 7/4
Draw 9/4

Score-Forecast
Draw 0-0 9/1, 1-1 11/2, 2-2 14/1, 3-3 80/1
Wood win 1-0 15/2, 2-1 9/1, 2-0 12/1, 3-1 22/1
Bees win 1-0 15/2, 2-1 9/1, 2-0 12/1, 3-1 22/1

I cannot see a glut of goals tomorrow. BeesKnees99 could be right with his 0 0. In truth, if that is how it finishes BeeKnees99, Luke Garrard and Dean Brennan will all sleep well tomorrow night (hopefully not together, though!).

So, guess what happens when you are top of the league. Simple. Punters want a slice of the action.
Wheel-barrow loads of cash has been wagered on a Bees win so, consequently, the odds are now not for the working man (or woman).

Bees win 3/4
Alty win 10/3
Draw 3/1

For me its a case of doing an in-play bet IF the odds start to drift and then hope for a late winner.

There’s some decent prices on away wins in other NL matches.

Daggers 5/1 to win at Chesterfield.
Southend 7/4 to win at Halifax.
Aldershot 13/5 to win at Fylde.
Solihull 7/2 to win at Woking.
Wood 9/4 to win at York.

Good luck all.

If you are top of the League prices will reflect that irrespective of whether anyone has placed a bet on you.

Well, when you are top of your league you are not going to get silly odds on a win so I am fairly happy with 7/5.
The Bees can win this game, although it will be a harder game than Alty.

Rochdale win 21/10
Bees win 7/5
Draw 5/2

Win, lose or draw hoppy will have a smile on his face as his grandson Ryan will be with him for his first ever Bees game. Ryan will be the 4th generation of hoppys to watch the Bees.

Good luck all.

Thanks amberforever. Yes, despite the result we all thoroughly enjoyed the game and the Bees Family has another member.

The bookies are being very mean to us at the moment. Very poor odds for a win against the Shots. Still, a win is a win but, even so, I may do an “In Play” bet in the hope that the odds may improve.

Bees win 13/20
Shots win 9/2
Draw 16/5 (thats quite generous).

Good luck all.

Halifax have played 10 NL games. They have scored 10 goals and conceded 10 goals. By all accounts they gave Chesterfield a good old go on Tuesday but were pipped by a very late goal and lost 3 2. My hunch is that after conceding 3 goals in one game they will come down to The Hive with the full intention of tightening the defence. A boring 0 0 will send them home in raptures. It’s up to us to break them down.

Bees win 8/11
Halifax win 17/4
Draw 13/5

A neutral punter might well look at the 17/4 and have a small flutter on the away win. But I am not a neutral punter. A small bet on the draw and, like last week, do an In Play bet on the Bees if the odds improve.

Good luck all.

So, a rapturous return to Yorkshire for Halifax on Saturday. To be fair the draw was a fair result at the end of the day. My piggy bank, Porky, is in pretty good health, long may he continue to do so.

The bookies have us as favourites to win at York on Tuesday. Hmmm. Not too sure on that. York seem to have turned a corner recently.

York win 2/1
Bees win 13/10
Draw 5/2

I won't be unhappy with a draw and neither will Porky.
