Attendance vs Aldershot tomorrow
Attendance vs Aldershot tomorrow
This could turn out to be very embarrassing,
only 659 home tickets sold and 31 away

Embarrassing. And it’s not all the clubs fault either. Too many people would rather stream

Re: Attendance vs Aldershot tomorrow
I know that most clubs have issues with midweek attendances, and Tuesday night games were often relatively quiet in the final years at Underhill. But regardless, this feels very low - especially for a team doing so well. Presumably most of that number is made up of ST holders? If a decent chunk of them don't attend, how many people will actually be at The Hive on Tues?!

Re: Attendance vs Aldershot tomorrow
I'm not entirely sure streaming is responsible here. The service only started half way through last season, but this has been a problem prior to that. In 2018-19 we had 965 (59 away) supporters for a Tuesday night game against Havant & Waterlooville in September, for eg.

Re: Attendance vs Aldershot tomorrow
Midweek games are always going to be rough when your attendances are propped up by school kids and fans who have Barnet as their second/local team. I'd still hope we can get more than 1000 though.

Comment on shots forum bemoaning lack of advanced discount so looking to buy on the day!
Re: Attendance vs Aldershot tomorrow
I see Boredom Wood are doing buy one game get another half price, for their upcoming Tuesday/Saturday home games.
I'm not convinced this would make much difference to us (or them!) though, agree that the lower crowds on Tuesdays is because youngsters and families don't turn up.

Re: Attendance vs Aldershot tomorrow
if season ticket holders stream rather than attend then surely that is a good thing for club finances as the same person is paying twice.
If floating fans watch on the stream than it is a mixed bag for club finances as the club will get a lower amount than if the person attended but at least some money from those that would never have turned up.

Re: Attendance vs Aldershot tomorrow
I would expect the attendance to be very similar to our midweek game last September, Bees v Dorking Wanderers.
Attendance 1152 (109 away).
I just hope the result is better (a 0 1 loss).
