Which game did they masquerade as us ? 😉 seriously I cannot recall a defeat... but do remember a 4 1 victory at Underhill when they dropped into the Conference

Also John Hunt you mean Dave parade.

i considered calling it that but didn't want to steal your thunder.

I think they beat us in the FA Cup in 15/16 at the Hive.

Hardly the worst possible draw. Not the most exciting, but far better than Barrow, Morecombe, Fleetwood etc away. Newport is relatively easy to get to by road or rail and the ground is walkable from the station. I was watching the draw and thinking please not us for virtually every other home team pulled out. There's only about six league places in it, so it's a winnable game and in my view better than being drawn away to a conference rival or heading to the far north. Also, unlikely to be a TV game, so should be on the Saturday.
Could it potentially be covered by BBC Wales or S4C perhaps?
Good shout but unfortunately Wrexham are still in the cup.

Looking forward to this - I've tried to watch us away at Newport twice and both times it was postponed due to rain.

So our home NL match v Dag and Red on 2nd December will have to be rearranged as it's FA Cup 2 weekend

Damn, I thought it was going to be the 9th but that must be Trophy weekend?

Yes, I'd initially made that mistake too.

Between last years FA trophy and this years FA cup were on quite the run of away draws. Surely due some home comfort.

being drawn away means any replay is at home, a more preferable situation than 01/2 when we drew (and drew with) Carlisle and Scarborough!

Already mentioned on Curzon Ashton thread but I guess more appropriate here - BFCSA - could you consider whether there'd be any support for a coach to this?

Good point - whilst the last thing we need before the Xmas period is extra games I was thinking all we need to do is at least nick a draw at Newport & at least be in the hat with a home replay to follow.
