That Chesterfield defeat did untold damage to morale and confidence. I feared it would.

We are an absolute shadow

How many times this season have we conceeded a few minutes into the second half? Do they have Ovaltine at half time? So many really poor performances today so far.

Nobody has played well in that half, but Brunt once again anonymous and ineffectual, as he has been for several weeks now.

No doubting his talent, but something’s not working
The quality of ball that he’s received today has been absolutely woeful. He has been ineffectual so far today but what is he supposed to do with what he’s received so far?
What he’s supposed to do is get in the right positions and impact the game, in the way that good midfielders do. His positioning off the ball is dreadful so he’s rarely involved and even when he does get it, his passing is sloppy.
I wanted to say this but believed some would comment, he has the ability but seems to be content and sit deep and not get involved in getting outside there box, agree about Pritchard , been way of the mark for weeks now, but somehow Dean doesn't seem to view things like many supporters do. Unlike Chesterfield who came out and took control of the game we started second half in same way as we played first half, now they have a goal there dominance warranted

Coker got beaten too easily there and the shot from the ensuing cross makes it 2-0.

The way we have been playing past few weeks ( first half Chesterfield excempt) this has been on the cards, midfield to slow and not quick or direct enough, they now have the two goals there play deserves, why pump longs balls up to Nicki who has won quite a few headers, but who is he meant to be flicking these headers on to. Without Stead beside him, Kanu is out wide, and cannot really remember our midfield getting in or around there box that much.

They don’t have better players than us they’re just far better coached.

November always looked difficult and is proving to be the case.

About 4 Barnet players were just standing and watching as the Gateshead player casually passed the ball into the net. A real reality check. Coker has been awful, Revan, who was great last week, awful, Kanu awful. At one nil, we missed with 2 easy headers. No one has played well. The worst performance of the season, although we've looked a bit better since Gorman has come on. Stead now on.

Bromley now third. Southend would be fifth if not for points deduction, they will be difficult as will Oldham, meeting teams who are currently in form. Wealdstone , as ever, it's their cup final.

Just a really tired, flat performance

Too many passes going astray and nobody comes out with any credit.

Potter and Coker especially poor
