Real League Table 2023/24

Post: # 366425Post timbee »

Updated: 20 April

The final edition for this season.

Updated after a final day in which nothing much changed at the top or the bottom. We march on.

The Executive Summary
Champions: Chesterfield
Playoff semi-finalists: Barnet, Bromley
Playoff eliminators: Altrincham, Solihull, Gateshead, Halifax
On the beach: Aldershot, Southend, Oldham, Rochdale, Hartlepool, Eastleigh, Maidenhead, Dagenham & Redbridge, Wealdstone, Woking, Fylde, Ebbsfleet, York
Relegated: Boreham Wood, Kidderminster, Dorking, Oxford

In the points per game table we were 2nd
In the form table (6 games) we were 4th with 12 points - only ourselves and Altrincham are unbeaten in the last 6 games.

A couple of comments, without their deduction Southend would have been comfortably in the playoffs, and Boreham Wood were pretty unfortunate to go down with 52 points - the most points a relegated team has had since 2013.

Plus/minus figures show teams who have played more, or fewer, games than the Bees.

I love it when you roll this out timbee, great work keeping this updated over the years. Out of interest, is there a way of factoring in a guaranteed and probable top-three finish?

Thanks - and I’ll see what I can do!

Update: Top 3 points now included along with the probable points needed to be champion.

Fantastic, much appreciated - that'll be very useful info as we head into the business end of the season!

I was a bit concerned to notice that by the time we play our next League game on the 17th, Altrincham will have played three more home games, all of which are winnable. That would put them 2 points ahead of us although we'd have one game in hand. We are entering a critical period this season and without three key players or playing convincingly. Hmmm.

The way they're going, Chesterfield might win the league against us! Hopefully it'll be a game or two too early (or even better, late).

Alty game rained off so won't go above us by 17th!

Let’s hope for a series of postponements due to their pitch being waterlogged leading to a very compressed season finale stymieing their form like in 90/91!

At least after our episode in early 2020 we have sorted drainage issues and only succome to frost these days. Saturday worries me as Welling have 2 teams playing on that pitch it might be unplayable and we can't afford any postponements as hardly any more dates available should we make trophy semis again.
