Highlights on YouTube, our defence always seems half asleep and midfield don't track back to clear up second ball from clearances under pressure. Stead should have made it 3-1, their #3 looked decent.

I know the defending was lax, but I love the way Marv drifts into the box and then bursts into life. I’ve seen it in league games too, it’s a real skill to have the awareness.

Keely made some good saves towards end to prevent it going to penalties.
Felts like proper cup tie at Radcliffe with decent crowd.

The pitch looked shocking, can't have helped either side's play.
Very good highlights.
Impression I got was that Radcliffe look decent for NPL team, I hope they get promotion. Armstrong's goals looked easier than maybe he'd be able to score in NL but that's not a criticism. And yes, Stead should have made it 3-1
Seemed to be a decent atmosphere which I suspect might not have been the case had we been at home.

For that level and considering it is January pitch was not to bad however had there of been lots of heavy rain in the week the game could have been in doubt.becbee wrote: ↑14 Jan 2024, 18:00 The pitch looked shocking, can't have helped either side's play.

Please that Marvin Armstrong scored two goals and cannot fault his effort. We have seen him miss some absolute sitters around six yard box this season.
Perhaps this will give him the confidence needed. DB did say all the squad have a part to play this season.
I'm surprised that Wynter has not featured more too with all the defensive injuries. Think he just needs a couple of games to get into the groove.

Great to get through a very tricky tie with a depleted squad. Two good goals - Armstrong timed his arrival to perfection in both cases.
Central midfield and striker are the two positions where we surely need to strengthen. Even as someone who wanted the strongest possible team out there yesterday, I do wish we were in a position to give Kabamba ten or twenty minutes’ rest and protection from injury at the end of games if we’re winning.
Meanwhile it’s a good job we got ahead and didn’t need to look to the bench to help us get a goal, because there we had 3 defenders, a goalkeeper and a 22 year-old academy player!

Radcliffe goal down to Hartigan making no attempt to challenge on edge of box, or attempt to kick into row Z. Overplaying around 18 yard box and losing possession is an achilles heal
