Good job their assholes fell out at The Hive, otherwise would be a lot closer. We will win tonight.WhetstoneBee wrote: ↑18 Apr 2025, 14:26 York’s squad is ridiculous. The cover they have in every position gives them so many options. Fair play to them for dealing with the pressure in the way they have.

Re: (Near) Rivals
Hope so! I’m concerned that our failure to bring in cover for players like Kenlock and Ndlovu is costing us vital points - York’s squad has more depth than ours, even if our starting XI is better. But look forward to my worries hopefully being put to bed later!CrawleyBee wrote: ↑18 Apr 2025, 14:36Good job their assholes fell out at The Hive, otherwise would be a lot closer. Re: (Near) Rivals
I have been using my Angel of the North mug all week. Clearly it wasn't lucky.
Re: (Near) Rivals
Daggers week just gets better. Was watching their game on DAZN with some interest. For the last 5 minutes it has switched to a cameraman walking around the pitch at the Hive.

Re: (Near) Rivals
Not at all near or rivals but I thought it interesting that Bury FC today won the North West Counties Premier League and were promoted to 8th tier of English football, in front of an attendance of 8,719 at Gigg Lane.
Re: (Near) Rivals
indeed, nice to see they are starting their assent back.
Re: (Near) Rivals
Enfield look like they will retain National League South status and relegate my home city club St Albans.
An impressive turnaround of form, no coincidence since Adam Thomson joined their defence

They always brought a supporters team to face us. We could never return the compliment. I have a soft spot for them.

That game at Donkey Lane finished as a 1 1 draw. Attendance was an impressive 2499.
Re: (Near) Rivals
I know St Albans have had a fair number of 2000+ home attendances this season. But Enfield definitely hadn't
Hemel Hempstead can relegate them tomorrow, else a daunting away trip to Truro!

Re: (Near) Rivals
I think that’s the total capacity of the ground.
I went to their Isthmian League promotion play-off semi-final against Fingate & Winchley last season. The ground was pretty much full on a slightly smaller attendance.

"The Donkeys" a fitting nickname?rudebwoyben wrote: ↑20 Apr 2025, 11:10I think that’s the total capacity of the ground.

It was called Donkey Lane long before Enfield Town started playing there.hoofer2 wrote: ↑20 Apr 2025, 11:12"The Donkeys" a fitting nickname?rudebwoyben wrote: ↑20 Apr 2025, 11:10I think that’s the total capacity of the ground.

Their nickname is The Towners.
Re: (Near) Rivals
Away from the euphoria at The Hive.
Halifax incredibly qualify for playoffs despite having joint second worst goals scored in league.
Daggers suddenly find form with 6 goals for at home to sorry Alty. Looking worrying for Stones after they were swept aside by Southend. Highly likely now that it is one season too far for Maidenhead in their fight to stay at this level.
Final playoff spot to be decided when Gateshead host Southend on final day.
Truro win the South by a margin of two goals and make the BBC Football front page ahead of Bees. Five straight wins for Wood leaves them 3 points short of first. A fascinating playoff campaign beckons in that league and wish Garrard well. A chap called Matt Rush has scored a ridiculous number of goals there lately I wonder where he might end up if they stay down.

Come on Bees
Re: (Near) Rivals
Matt Rush scored 14 in 22 games for Wood and 3 in 6 on loan to Maidstone. Clearly knows where the goal is, although he failed to find the net in a handful of appearances at NL level.
