(Near) Rivals
Re: (Near) Rivals
Leeds United (U21s) win the National League Cup (!)
Wood back from 1-3 down to equalise in last minute of normal time against Dorking in the play off. Always wish Garrard well. 86 goals for them during season proper - unusual for them.

Come on Bees
Re: (Near) Rivals
Dean and Connor also there. Who could they be scouting I wonder, that could make it worth pausing the celebrations?!
Re: (Near) Rivals
4-3 on 96! This is one of the craziest games I've attended which isn't something I thought I'd ever say about B'wood.

Re: (Near) Rivals
Crazy game. Neither team very interested in defending and it made for a cracker.
Re: (Near) Rivals
Crawley down, nice for us Sussex fans..
Re: (Near) Rivals
Rochdale won at Solihull and have guaranteed 4th place.
Re: (Near) Rivals
One looked like Reynolds tbf.
Dorking fans were furious about the first goal. The linesman very clearly flagged for offside, play sort of stopped, the referee decided to play on, goal. Couldn't see if it actually was or not. B'wood should have had a red and at least one penalty to Dorking.

Re: (Near) Rivals
Yep, and the other one was clearly Bush!
Re: (Near) Rivals
i didn't watch the match so I don't know. However the match report posted on Borehamwood's O.S. states that they are giving them both to Ilesanmi so unless the club amend that today, that's what the official records will show.
Re: (Near) Rivals
Infuriating for them but aren't players always taught to play to the whistle?Mikel Bee wrote: ↑29 Apr 2025, 22:32One looked like Reynolds tbf.

Re: (Near) Rivals
Play to the whistle yeah, but when lino flags it's pretty much the same thing.
Once a Bee ALWAYS a Bee
Re: (Near) Rivals
The ball through was played on the opposite side to the lino, in the other half of the pitch. There was a player offside, so he flagged. Ref was a lot closer so he could see that the ball through was actually off a Dorking player, hence no offside and no whistle, play on.
Can’t see what else the ref could or should have done, yet according to some on football social media this was further evidence that all refs are shit and that somehow we shouldn’t stand for it anymore.

Wood defying the odds into the NLS final.
