(Near) Rivals
Re: (Near) Rivals
They're a very different team to the previous Gateshead side we played at the start of the season. Only four who started in our 2-0 defeat to them played in their game at the weekend.

Moreover, of the team that started for us in that game, only Stead Hartigan Glover and Kenlock are likely to start on Saturday. A completely different fixture

One note of caution. They do apparently have new owners to impress.rudebwoyben wrote: ↑26 Mar 2025, 16:41That is quite amazing come go think of it.FatherStairmaster wrote: ↑26 Mar 2025, 16:25Moreover, of the team that started for us in that game, only Stead Hartigan Glover and Kenlock are likely to start on Saturday. Well, they haven’t been impressing them for the past couple of months.Norfolkbee110 wrote: ↑26 Mar 2025, 17:01One note of caution. Re: (Near) Rivals
They signed Frank Nouble from Yeovil recently too, looked to be the only half decent player in the 5-0 win the other week.

For tomorrow COME ON WEALDSTONE !
FCBFCSA Manager / Former committee member of BFCSA and BFCSA1926
Re: (Near) Rivals
Wealdstone in a catch 22 tomorrow they need points to secure safety. Unfortunately (for them)this will probably give us the chance to win the league by beating them. It’s a bit of a pickle.
Re: (Near) Rivals
Their first priority will be survival and us winning the league will be miles down their list of worries.
Re: (Near) Rivals
Yes. As it should be - worry about your ‘own house’ rather than trying to scupper your rivals.
How bloody great and hilarious will it be though, if we were to win it against them !!

Wealdstone’s next four games…York (away), Boston (home), FGR (home), Barnet (away).KensalBee wrote: ↑28 Mar 2025, 19:05Yes. As it should be - worry about your ‘own house’ rather than trying to scupper your rivals.

They could be in deep sh#t after that set of games.

Just imagine the carnage if social media had been around in the Flashman days.
Bannings, but on the plus side, we wouldn't have had to turn up at his house to make our feelings clear

I want to be good, is that not enough.
