Let's hope Bees can break the mould.

Re: (Near) Rivals
All the more reason for Barnet to get out of this league - and that is coming from me, who now lives on the Somerset/Devon border.
Re: (Near) Rivals
Yes, as if there weren’t enough reasons to want to swap the National League for League 2, here are a load more…National League looks like gaining Truro, Carlisle, Morecambe and Scunthorpe while it’s losing Ebbsfleet, Maidenhead and Dagenham. Meanwhile League 2 is gaining Crawley and Cambridge from League 1 and of its top 4 the most southerly is Walsall!Norfolkbee110 wrote: ↑08 Apr 2025, 11:43All the more reason for Barnet to get out of this league - and that is coming from me, who now lives on the Somerset/Devon border.

Really feel for Dagenham fans. Now got an Egyptian Youtube star on their ownership. Apparently is worth less than 150k, but wants them to be like Wrexham is in America. Apparently he "feels like he's playing fifa", "is an arab but doesn't have a lot of money", "wanted a club in London who wore red" and "wants to make the PL".

Having also read the Dag & Red message board and a petition link on there, it gets worse with Hamas terrorism mentioned.wearebees wrote: ↑16 Apr 2025, 11:30 Really feel for Dagenham fans. Beyond awful.
Re: (Near) Rivals
That is nothing but bad news for Daggers. You hate to see it. How was that allowed to happen in the first place? Shocking. Their twitter threads are overrun with foul mouthed Egyptians spouting all kinds of tripe.

The lady in the video has left already!

The youtuber is urging his fans who purchased tickets to stay away from the match tomorrow.
Daggers fans receiving death threats on social media. D&R didn't enable replies to their tweet announcing it but the quoted replies are scary.
You've got to hope/think the youtuber will be out soon. What a circus and horrible time for their fans. Makes you feel lucky to have a chairman who cares.

There's a 10 minute clip from the fans forum, which is car crash material.
I've no love for Dagenham but this is quite sad.

What a great VLog presenter this young man is... he covered Barnet at the Hive previously. Another VLog who presents some interesting takes is StuntPeggbeew wrote: ↑18 Apr 2025, 00:41 https://youtu.be/7HwM5kESUuI?si=_cDQdsanxL1dqH8U

You really feel for Dagenham & Redbridge fans... a football club is not a toy. Where is the "fit and proper person test"? He even says he does not have much money...
As a Non League fan you want to see moderate success / improvement that is sustainable but not compromising the club longer term. Rushden and Diamonds and Darlington spring to mind - but they were progressed by local businessmen who at least knew something about the clubs invested in.

StuntPegg is great. She has a real love of football at all levels and she’s also developed an entertaining comic persona to go with it.
Re: (Near) Rivals
Sounds like York are trying to get their game at Gateshead postponed because of the state of the pitch.
