What a gutting way to drop 2 points yesterday and especially as results went our way.
Was keeping eye on clock and we was in last 10 seconds, Must say not sure why we had 9 minutes added on?

Agree I thought Thompson did very well, Was a shame as just before their goal he made brilliant clearence from a shot that looked certain to be going in, I thought he had won us game with that.

Like last weekend at Gateshead the game should have been won by HT, It annoying that the chance just before HT had gone over the line according to DB in his post match interview.

The match highlights show the Maguire-Drew chance from another angle. It looks very close to being completely over the line at the very least.

Yea just looked, if you pause it at 2.13 that is the angle I presume you on about.
Does look over from that angle but it might look different from another view to be fair.

Would that be a bad thing, we’ve only taken 4 points out of a possible 15 since Keeley replaced Walker ?
Last season playing a deeper line we conceded far more chances to teams which is why LW looked so spectacular. He’s a brilliant shot stopper but also very limited. He doesn’t like coming off his line to sweep nor claim crosses. That in itself gives oxygen to the opposition attacks and he has to make more saves.

That deeper line was also killing us physically. You can’t play an aggressive press with your defenders miles away from your attack. There was a reason we ran out of steam last season.

For the progression of the team, DB knew we had to keep teams away from our goal and bring the defensive line higher so our team weren’t covering so much distance .

Early on it worked really well but teams have analysts and they sussed they could get in behind our defence because the gap between LW and the back 3 was huge as he was reluctant to sweep.

I’ve been told that quite early on this season he was told he had to improve parts of his game and although the shot stopping was still good, we were getting hit in behind too much and he was making mistakes.
It wasn’t long ago that we were all cursing the weakness of our high line, but since we brought it in we have been dominating the ball far more.

I like that DB is ruthless because it’s not about LW, it’s about Barnet and he’s decided that for us to progress we need a keeper that will take the pressure off our back line. Aside from a couple of goals Keeley’s been a big part of solving the high line weakness and if anything it’s the front end of our team that now needs looking at.
We’ve conceded 9 goals in the last 5 league games and average of 1.8, compared to an average of 1.4 over the previous 26 games. Please can we unsolve the problem ?

Unpleasant. An afternoon to forget at The Hive which highlighted several more issues off the pitch than we have on it. Here's our man's take...

Another good write up.

Have to agree I thought it was poor that they did not put on soccer saturday on. Do they not have sky sports now? Is it just TNT over that side now?

They've always had Sky. I suspect no one thought about changing channels after the Everton game.

i was hoping they'd stick on the rugby.

Who wanted to watch the Tottenham game to see a dominant side from North London conceding an injury time equaliser?

Grrrrrrrrr !

And that is the problem with the staff at the Hive. No 1 seems to think.

Most staff have no interest in the club, as its just a casual job for them. You'd think that with 1000+ potential customers to please, the club would have, a manager to make sure the TVs work and are on the correct channel. Although having said that, I can't understand why someone didn't ask for Sky after the Everton game had finished at 2.45pm

Yes the behaviour of some Wealdstone fans wasn't great at end of game, but isn't it being blown out of proportion.

Only a couple of idiots went on the pitch, flares included a bellend from Barnet. And there was a mass of Barnet fans who couldn't wait to join in and goad Wealdstone fans back.

The away fans are given the best stand in the ground. Always disappointing we don't have option behimd the goal to match. Not the shit cattleshed that needed dismantling

Better a shit cattleshed than nothing! We’ve gone from having home fans on three sides of the ground to one. It’s crap, and on a topical note it contributes to situations like yesterday where there are just 3 turnstiles for the home crowd, one tea bar (which in effect serves only a small fraction of the crowd because many don’t bother due to the queues) etc.

If the reference is to the one that hit the ref, video shows that was very definitely a blue flare thrown from the away end.
