However, I genuinely think we've played better in the last month or so than we've played since the end of September.
Stick those three performances in the middle of our run when things were going our way and we're sitting here with 3 wins and everything is rosey.
Today we were without our four most influential players and completely pissed a top half team off the park.
Finish our chances and they are buried well before the late brain fade from Keeley (who has been fine bar that error)
Keep playing like this and someone is getting an absolute hiding very soon

Insufficient cover for Kabamba and Kanu is the simple conclusion, I'm sure everyone gave their maximum yesterday no doubt of that but the quality in the box was poor. Score the penalty and no problem.
Everybody knows we should have had 3 in the first half and then the aways would of cried off home.

- Horrible goalkeeping from Keeley at the end, and he was lucky with two other incidents where he nearly carried the ball out of his own box

- I’ve just seen footage of a Barnet steward getting repeatedly punched on the pitch by a piece of shit Wealdstone “fan”. The police are always busy telling you off for a rude chant, but a physical assault on the pitch and they’re nowhere to be seen.

What an absolute shambles from top to bottom.

They need to get Walker in from the cold and back in the team as soon as possible.

As for the steward - it always amazes me how 5 stewards are always available to chuck out an amber battalion member for a rude chant or sticking a sticker, but EVERY time there is serious disruption and punches thrown (Solihull, tonight, Stockport at home in the cup a few years back) they are nowhere to be seen. The stewards seem to enjoy bullying Barnet fans but their backsides fall out when faced with some proper work to do.
At this level Stewards,or security are not paid even close to get involved in fights, if this was a regular occurance then the stewards cost per game would quadruple., Which would then mean a increase in admission, if you was getting paid a pittance to search, and jobs they do most games would you want to get involved in fights. I very much doubt it.

The bouncers in blue jackets are SIA licensed meaning they are a) paid more and b) licensed and insured to act with force against threats to public order. The lot of them shit themselves today leading a Barnet fan to stop a steward having his eye gouged out. These same stewards bully young Barnet fans week after week.
I was involved in security for 17 years, I had a SIA licence but this does not mean security with this are permitted to use force anymore than anyone who feels there person is in danger, there are levels of security, but just because someone has a SIA licence this doesn't mean there paid to get involved in physical altercation, all security now legally have to be licenced by SIA, but I can assure you there are companies out there who can and have managed to get there poor employees SIA licdnced.

My understanding is that not all stewards have to be SIA licensed, I assume some are employed not as security but in a customer service capacity. However both the stewards and also noticeably the police basically did nothing while a colleague was being quite violently assaulted on the field of play. Questions really need to be asked. Stewards happy to be heavy handed with the Amber Battalion kids but not in this instance

Watched the video footage from Wealdstone on youtube were supporters got into the pitch after them scoring, the police were leaning against the railing just watching, shameful. I was not aware of the Barnet fan who ran into the pitch to pull the moron Wealdstone fan of the steward, after he did this he then left the pitch, well done that man, shame he had to do this when the Police were stood there just watching. The more you watch the mistake by our keeper it just gets worse, but it is just that, a mistake in a game were he did very well. If we dropped players for mistakes made during a game we would struggle to put out a team.

I think LW is brilliant. He's been one of my favourite players of the last few years. He's not a bad GK at all, but the fact is that he just isn't suited to the way that DB wants us to play. He did brilliantly for us, but the way we play has evolved and despite the 3 clean sheets and performances over the holiday period, Keeley is simply a far better fit in our team with this style of play. Dropping Keeley for 1 mistake doesn't make sense.

It's a little like sticking someone like Diarra, (even a god version of Diarra), into our back 3 and being surprised when he struggled to play with the high line and the ball retention asked of him.

Despite the fact that Keeley is only here on loan, LW still isn't the answer after he leaves because he simply doesn't suit the way we play. The way we play no longer suits his strengths. That doesn't make him a bad GK. It just means that we will be better off with a player who is comfortable with the ball at his feet, comfortable playing behind a high line, and who's distribution is good. FOr all his strengths, these areas are the weakest aspects of LW's game and unfortunately the reason why he's not playing higher.

Would have been easiest hattrick of Evans career if he started!

The same conclusion as last season before Smith was signed on loan. So frustrating that we are that close to getting out of this league, which we've done three times before without a progression plan for the last two.

It’s extra sickening that those tinpot scum have enjoyed not one, but two last-gasp goals against us. Lighting truly did strike twice for them. Football is so cruel.

Just to reiterate what others have said on here:

1. Thompson was superb yesterday & was IMO MOM.

2. Keeley had a good game apart from his one mistake which shouldn't have mattered if we had take at least one of our numerous chances & had Pritch scored the penalty! Let's back him.He will only get even better with more game time.
I love Luisma & really miss his skils!

I totally agree. Thompson had a superb debut and MOM, Keeley lost his head but was also a stand out performer prior to the 98th minute error. The striker issue will be resolved this week and we move on with our quest to overtake a faltering Bromley (Altrincham is the danger).

I feel sorry for the people who took their little kids to the game yesterday. Personally I won’t be going to Barnet vs Wealdstone games anymore.
No tact from the Wealdstone social media who called their fans “900 heroes”. Awful. There’s a way of celebrating your teams result without doing that.
Yet again shameful behaviour from Wealdstone supporters with no real repercussions, & it will be the same again next year. Also I fear young, impressionable teenage Barnet supporters will be dragged into it eventually. I hope not, but this behaviour is becoming normalised & will only get worse

Alty have three consecutive home games now against oppo they should beat. When we play Fylde , Bromley are home to Chesterfield. Evening of 17th, there could be little to choose between 2nd and 4th.
