Solihull Moors (Away) The Less Is Moors Match Thread

Poor 2nd half very little threat a win Monday will put us in a strong position. Usual array of strange national league results today not only Wood in the mire our friends from Ruislip looking over their shoulders.
Re: Solihull Moors (Away) The Less Is Moors Match Thread
We needed a point and got it.
Re: Solihull Moors (Away) The Less Is Moors Match Thread
Poor goals to give away but we did nothing second half. Now do a professional job on Monday...just don't turn up expecting that's all we have to do. Oxford have nothing to lose.

Can see why our record against the top teams is poor. So unavoidable.
Just question, did you feel in the second half we looked like scoring a third goal, I cannot hardly remember any threat there keeper was under. Nicki was not playing up top second half he played far deeper, possibly to try and stop there build up, if so yet again were more concerned with what they can do rather than the attacking threat we possess. Just feel that was two points dropped. And yet again helped out by results of some around us, with Halifax, Oldham and Aldershot all loosing, but wins for Gateshead, Bromley and Altricham.

Yup. Battle of the managers in the second half. Theirs won.rudebwoyben wrote: ↑29 Mar 2024, 16:58I think Gorman had been booked already and had given the ball away a few times, so DB didn’t want us to go down to 10. However, there was no obvious sub for Dale.
Their subs improved them whereas ours didn’t.

I still don't understand why we didn't hang on to Armstrong until the end of the season.
Re: Solihull Moors (Away) The Less Is Moors Match Thread
So he could sort out our play-off rivals? He's done a good job of that! Yeah, I don't get it either.LeftSideRun wrote: ↑29 Mar 2024, 17:14 I still don't understand why we didn't hang on to Armstrong until the end of the season.

Yeah it’s certainly strange that we haven’t replaced him considering our injury record and depth in that position. I guess the fee offered was too enticing.LeftSideRun wrote: ↑29 Mar 2024, 17:14 I still don't understand why we didn't hang on to Armstrong until the end of the season.

Hence why I said it was disappointing, and not disastrous.Itsmeerc wrote:You can be both disappointed whilst also acknowledging the result was far from disastrous.BeesKnees99 wrote: ↑29 Mar 2024, 17:02Tinpot mentality.rudebwoyben wrote:Yes, a draw at the 5th placed team is utterly disastrous.BeesKnees99 wrote: ↑29 Mar 2024, 16:57 Yet again, we fail to beat a Top 7 side. Semantics aside, it’s becoming increasingly apparent our failure to beat the league’s better sides will be our undoing.
It’s all well and good beating Dorking 6-0 and enjoying lofty 2nd place, but I just don’t see enough character about this team to go that one step further. We are going to need all the luck in the world in the playoffs.

Really enjoyable goal from Kabamba.
Decent result at this stage of the season given our position.
Has anyone run a virtual league table for results between top 7 to see where we would sit?
In any case today’s game is a different proposition and not an indication of how a knockout playoff game would play out. Our form leading into playoffs last season was patchy, if we can continue good form to the end of the season this time I’d be more confident.

At the bottom of the table things are a little less tight now. Wood sadly in deep trouble, Dorking also might not have enough, Maidenhead may continue to show they can’t be written off, York seem to have made a positive change and could be a force next season.

Sadly????
I will be over the moon if Wood get relegated. Horrible club.
If Wealdstone went with them I will be delirious.
