Presumably Fylde v Gateshead will have to be played tomorrow or Wed to avoid Gateshead playing 3 times in the final week?
Gateshead max points 84 so we need 7 more as their gd will likely be better than ours with 5 wins. Bromley max points 86.
Final game of the season is Gateshead v Bromley so they cannot both achieve those maximum points - so 84 points would guarantee top 3 I think?
And of course, if we beat or even draw with Bromley, then that reduces their maximum possible points still further.

You’d hope it would be all but done if we did beat them…..just a shame we don’t beat teams in the top 7 very often! I really would love to see us beat them & put a message out to the play-off teams (just like beating Solihull would’ve been nice).

We also play this Saturday whereas both of them are in the trophy - shame Maidenhead doing their usual end of season fight but a good opportunity to extend the gap.

No she wasn't.

Have you ever tried to referee a game?
She really was. Shocking.

Must agree, when I read on clubs Twitter account that the players awards were going to be held after today's game I found this very strange, cannot remember the date we normally do this, but with so much still at stake including the play offs why now and not after the Kidderminster game on the 20th April. It's not like we would have trouble booking the venue.
When the date of the awards was first published, I asked the Supporters Association why it was so early and was told "given we only have a few home fixtures left, this was the only option as we never do these events on the last day of the season. Therefore, this was chosen as it's the penultimate 3pm home kick-off we have".

No better or worse than many who have officiated our games.

Nicke won Supporters’ player of the year, Calum Stead won Most Improved player of the year.
Dan Whiting won clubman of the year and Keith Doe won the Lester Finch trophy.
Dan Martin not Dan Whiting!
Well done all. Thrilled for Keith. A worthy recipient of such a prestigious award for all the service he has done for us supporters over many years. Well done Sir.

I get why we started with that team but Freeman was noticeably struggling for 60 minutes. I hope he finds some fitness in the next few weeks but for now he looks a busted flush.

The referee was not shocking. She was letting alot go but many refs at our level do. She let Kabamba off with a physical challenge for our first goal but did the same for them with a few physical altercations. It did appear to be a stonewall penalty but that was her only error along with being brittle when dealing with dissent.

Shocking? In a league Dan Middleton was deemed too good to referee in. Do behave.

Beat Maidenhead and Kidderminster that would give us 60 out of a maximum 72 points against to current bottom 12!

The most disappointing thing about the day was Stead winning most improved player award.

You cannot win the most improved player award if it is your first season at the club!!!!

Surely it's a judgement on the player's progress over the course of the season?

I thought Stead was the obvious winner, who would you have chosen?

No, most improved player is most improved from the previous season. This is the unwritten rule. So as Stead wasn't here last season, this is a category of award he cannot compete in.

I'm not saying I can think of another obvious winner as the players who were here last season have not been at the same level as they were.
