ITS NOT AVAILABLE ON SATURDAY!! your second point is correct as it only has 1 stand so segregation for Oldham would be extremely difficult.

Move to Sunday then, it’s raining up here again (well in Leeds anyway) so the certainty of the 3G and proximity to Halifax must make Bradford PA a good shout.

If it’s Thursday night, we’ll have a long journey in the early hours of Friday morning and then another game - possibly a crucial one - at 12:15 the day after. Even with rotation the risk of picking up injuries going into the play-offs would be very high.
Unless Halifax have another Rugby game scheduled before Saturday our game should be OK. but Halifax have 2 more games to play at home Tuesday (Ebbsfleet) and Thursday (Oldham). I can't see how they could rearrange our game. The NL need to start hiring out alternative grounds, starting with our game on Saturday otherwise their schedule is broken.
There are other factors to consider , 1 cost of ground hire, 2 does it meet NL grading and a pitch in suitable condition, 3 does it have suitable segregation, 4 suitable medical cover, 5 catering and steward availability & 6 are the police happy for game to go ahead at that particular ground.
I think its reached a point, that if they can't meet those factors, the game will be played behind closed doors. Although there are several grounds within an hour of Halifax that could meet those requirements and the medical staff police shuldn't be a problem. The cost factor is down to Halifax/National League/Calderdale council.

There's no rugby planned but I noticed they only play on Sundays in the Rugby league. Why didn't they postpone the game last Sunday to protect the pitch.
Because it was fit to play Rugby league on and the match referee passed it fit!
It was fit for Rugby but playing that game means the football team now probably can't complete their fixtures. Common sense would say they rearrange last Sundays game for a midweek game in May. They've plenty of midweek windows to choose from unlike the football team.

probably the solution as long as someone else hasn't hired it out already.

Guiseley is another ground they have mooted but the risk of pp with the rain makes it too risky imo. Shame as nice set up.

The RFL might not have seen it that way but of course i agree with you.

Fylde Gateshead has a pitch inspection tomorrow morning. If off, Gateshead will have to play Saturday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and somehow sandwich the Fylde game in the middle somewhere. If they do progress into the play offs, they will then have to play the next Tuesday and potentially a semi final on the Saturday/Sunday. If they manage to do all that and win, they quite frankly deserve to go up and you have to say fair play

And their Ebbsfleet game on Tuesday has moved to Accy too. The NL should penalise them or at least establish a rule which says they could penalise a club which has to cancel, say, 4 or more games a season because of unfit pitches.

A sensible solution, inconvenient but less so that all the uncertainty.

Another notorious ground for call off after we have travelled but fair play to Halifax/bfc/nl for sorting quickly. Not much slack for connection at Leeds if there is much added time!

Depends on reason, we have had 3 or 4 games off in past 2 seasons due to frozen pitches which with out undersoil heating was always going to happen but agree serial offenders should be sanctioned.

As a matter of interest, does anybody ( Jerroll?) have any knowledge of such a change of venue situation having ever happened to us before?
