Re: Maidenhead travel
The TfL Over-60s Oyster photo card gets you free travel within London but not on the Elizabeth Line past West Drayton!

Re: Maidenhead travel
A freedom pass allows you to travel all the way to Reading for nothing via the elizabeth line
Re: Maidenhead travel
Looks like £20 to get in which is reasonable.
I cannot see whether you can pay at the turnstile or have to buy in advance. Anyone know?

Re: Maidenhead travel
In previous years you could pay at the turnstile.
Maidenhead’s ground is old-school non-league (and I mean that as a compliment).
Re: Maidenhead travel
Supporters can purchase tickets at the turnstile for the above prices with cash or card on the day.rudebwoyben wrote: ↑03 Apr 2024, 08:00In previous years you could pay at the turnstile.

Re: Maidenhead travel
It's not that clear, but this simplified map (missing out some stations) indicates that you can use the freedom pass all the way until Reading:

Re: Maidenhead travel
That's right - however this applies to Elizabeth Line *only* and not to GWR trains that run fast to Maidenhead.thebeekeeper wrote: ↑03 Apr 2024, 09:27 It's not that clear, but this simplified map (missing out some stations) indicates that you can use the freedom pass all the way until Reading:

Re: Maidenhead travel
There’s an Aslef train strike on Saturday which means it’s Elizabeth Line services only. Not sure if that affects anything other than journey time.

Re: Maidenhead travel
Elizabeth Line was a godsend yesterday.
With GWR buffered it allowed more fans than otherwise the possibility of attending. The trains were busier than they might have been but que sera.
It was nice catching up with some supporters I don't see often and that late equaliser could be crucial for us.

Good to see Ronald more mobile than recently on the terraces and that he hasn't lost his way with words...
