Are you ready?
Are you ready?
Hear we go. A National League Play Off semi final. Expect hope, despair, stress, joy, anticipation, being scared, optimistic, pessimistic and everything else. In my 44 years supporting the Bees it would be most un-Barnet if we were to be 3 nil up at HT and shut up shop for the second half. I could see us being 3 nil down and mounting a comeback though! Expect penalties, sending offs, deflections, scrappy goals, worldies, amazing saves, amazing misses, goal line clearances, own goals, quite probably all of them! Supporting Barnet is like riding a roller coaster, you just gotta ride it! Hang on tight everyone.

Re: Are you ready?
It feels different at the moment, more stable, controlled and professional.
I’m envisaging a solid 2-0 win in the semi final without too much hiatus and limited anxiety for most in a nearly full Hive. Mind you I’m also very close to the bottom of the prediction league.
COYBs !

Re: Are you ready?
I imagine I'll be a bag of nerves by Saturday afternoon ( maybe earlier) but at the moment I'm quite relaxed.
My view is that play offs are a lottery but we are in a good place and as long as everybody does their best, what more can we ask?

Re: Are you ready?
I can see us starting the game strong, but we will need to take our chances. Our squad is strong and pretty much fully fit.
I've always seen playoff games as tense occasions, often played in sweltering hot May conditions (Colchester away seemed like it was in 30 degree heat even at 7:45pm). No such temperature this weekend.
Really excited about this one. Out of all of them, this feels like our best chance of making it all the way. Let's make the Hive rock this Saturday and make sure it happens. I want 4000 bees going home from the game happy, not those few hundred sitting in the corner!

Barnet showing all the flair of Rupert-the-Bears trousers, but lots more style!

We will cock it up. Never get our big day out
Re: Are you ready?
Solihull by look of it all over Halifax
Re: Are you ready?
Solihull 2-0 but could be more, Halifax look knackered, a yard slower all over the pitch
Re: Are you ready?
Come on Halifax. At least make them sweat for it

I'm expecting a loss, like every other play off I've been to
Sometimes the club can take me by surprise though

Re: Are you ready?
As I type Solihull score a 4th so it looking like them, I could see us doing what they have done get a couple early goals then they get 1 back to make it edgy (that would be Barnet like lol)
Excited about Saturday and not nervous at all but come Saturday im sure there will be some nerves like we all will have im sure.

A few of the Solihull looked knackered at the end. Be handy if Osborne could miss the coach on Saturday
Re: Are you ready?
On this day in 2015 we beat Gateshead 2 nil to get promotion.
Confident we'll beat Solihull on Saturday
Re: Are you ready?
We have a very good team yet nothing can be taken for granted. Chesterfield and Notts County both needed extra time to get past Wood and Bromley last year.
