Transfers 2024/25
Re: Transfers 2024/25
So now we know why we needed bigger changing rooms!
Re: Transfers 2024/25
Three signings in virtually one day, just a shame there all defenders and not one a striker. I know Dean has said clean sheets wins you games and it sure looks like with these many defenders will should be hard to break down. ( just light hearted post, not meant as negative just in case LOL )

A striker will arrive when the window closes.
Re: Transfers 2024/25
Seems from his interview he signed on Monday as he mentions he can’t wait to get going ‘tomorrow night’ guessing he’s referring to Forest Green. Wonder why we delay these announcements?

Best signing of the season so far in my opinion. Have admired this guy every time we have played Aldershot. So exciting.

Maybe so Southend don't have time to prepare with how to deal with him? Though probably won't be starting I guess
Re: Transfers 2024/25
Glover is a midfielder who also can play wing back but wouldn’t be classed primarily as a defender by any means. Hopefully that striker comes though!Uniman61 wrote: ↑24 Aug 2024, 09:48 Three signings in virtually one day, just a shame there all defenders and not one a striker. Glover spent the summer with the PFA free agents camp, playing with other out of contract players and playing in friendlies against EFL clubs.
Still going, few players still on the books.
Appreciate our squad is near to full, but any names on their anyone would take?

We could probably do with another centre-half.

Some interesting names there, however Brennan said in his post-Southend interview that we are talking to a number of clubs about strikers. That would suggest that rather than free agents our targets, or some of them at least, are contracted players whom we are hoping to sign on loan or permanently from their current clubs.

Hobson's a midfielder, not a striker.
